Forced marriage for young girls is gradually disappearing in Iraq as freedom and democracy begin to take hold. Even among the elders in rural villages, Western ideas about free choice are gaining ground.
In the tribal areas of Kurdistan in northern Iraq, arranged marriages have been a way of life for centuries. But society is changing.
