According to the breaking news, the Obama administration is considering releasing two Chinese Muslim Uighur militants into the United States. These are radicals that have been trained by al Qaeda.

This is NOT a transfer to another prison, but a release on to American soil.

The Fox News reporter stated that this report of an imminent release had not yet been confirmed by the Obama administration, so by the time you see this email there will likely be updated news on this.

Regardless of how this particular story ultimately plays out, it is clear to us that Washington needs to hear our voice – your voice – to ensure that no Guantanamo terrorist is released or transferred into the United States.

So please make your voice heardClick here to sign our petition opposing the release or transfer of any Gitmo terrorist.

U.S. Can Hold Gitmo Detainees Indefinitely, Judge Says

WASHINGTON — A federal judge says the United States can continue to hold some prisoners at Guantanamo Bay indefinitely without any charges.

U.S. District Judge John Bates’ opinion issued Tuesday night limited the Obamaadministration‘s definition of who can be held. But he said Congress in the days after Sept. 11, 2001 gave the president the authority to hold anyone involved in planning, aiding or carrying out the terrorist attacks.

Bates’ opinion comes amid increasing debate over whether President Barack Obama is going to release anyone from Guantanamo. Obama has promised to close the prison by January, but Senate Democrats say they will block the move until he comes up with a plan for the detainees.

Bates’ opinion came in the case of several Guantanamo prisoners who are challenging their detention. ACLU attorney Jonathan Hafetz said the opinion “flouts the Constitution’s prohibition against indefinite detention without charge.”HUFF PO (CRAP)
