How Shari’a Law ‘morality’ police are destroying life for Muslims in ‘not so moderate anymore’ Indonesia
In Indonesia, the world’s largest Muslim nation, a raft of new legislation based on Islamic Sharia law has been criticized for unfairly targeting women and the poor.
With more than 40 so-called ‘morality laws’ passed in the last few years, critics say the entire national justice system is now under threat from radical Muslims. In some places it is illegal to work, to graduate from primary school or to marry without being able to recite the Qur’an.
