Palestinians accuse Israel of training snakes and rats to attack them

Gotta love Israeli ingenuity. Or is it Arab insanity?

ISRAELI ATTACK SNAKES: Palestinians have made a variety of accusations against Israel over the years, from distributing bubble gum that corrupts Muslim youth to attacking Muslims with trained pigs. The latest rumor making the rounds among Arabs in Samaria is that Israelis are training snakes to attack innocent farmers, according to the Bethlehem-based Maan news, whichis closely associated with the Fatah-led Palestinian Authority.

The rumor apparently began when a snake bit a woman outside a village adjacent to the Jewish city of Ariel. Local Arabs said that after the attack, the snake “escaped” toward Ariel. The snake’s movement was taken as a sign that it had been released from Ariel by Israelis intent on harming Arabs. PA villagers in the same area were the first to accuse Israelis of using trained pigs to attack Arab farmers. ISRAELI ATTACK RATS: Palestinian Media Watch reports that two Arab newspapers in the Palestinian Authority are accusing Israelis of unleashing bands of rats against Jerusalem’s Arab population.

PMW, which monitors media in the Palestinian Authority for anti-Israel items, reports on what it calls “yet another wild accusation about Israel” in the PA press.  “Two PA newspapers – one directly controlled by the office of PA President Mahmoud Abbas – are accusing Israel of releasing rats with  supernatural qualities to chase away the Arab residents of Jerusalem,” write PMW’s Itamar Marcus and Barbara Crook.

According to the PA papers, the Israeli-Jerusalem rat is:
1. Immune to rat poison
2. Aggressive and larger than usual
3. Unafraid of cats and able to scare them away
4. Highly fertile, with females giving birth to 140 young rats a year, four times the normal average
5. Highly selective, as Jewish residents of Jerusalem apparently are not affected by these rats

There is no scientific evidence indicating that rats or snakes can be trained as attack animals, or that either of the species can differentiate between Jews and Arabs. ISRAEL NATIONAL NEWS

However, the Israelis do have a really cool Robo-Spy Snake.
