The creator of an online FACEBOOK group opposing plans by an Islamic organization to march through Wootton Bassett for the purpose of denigrating British troops has received death threats.

More than 730,000 people have signed up to the No To The Planned Islam4UK March Through Wootton Bassett’ group since it went live on Facebook. It called for extremist Anjem Choudary and his followers to be barred from marching in the Wiltshire market town where the bodies of dead service personnel arrive back in the UK.

Mr Choudary’s group Islam4UK has now abandoned the march after it was revealed the Government is to ban the organisation. Home Secretary Alan Johnson is to use anti-terror laws to ban two organisation – Islam4UK and al-Muhajiroun – run by Mr Choudary. (Don’t just ban the groups, kick the Muslim sewage out of the UK)

But the Facebook group’s creator, Jo Cleary, who voluntarily runs the Armed Forces support group Honour Our Troops, has received death threats over her involvement with the site. Threats have also been sent to fellow campaigner Lucy Aldridge, whose 18-year-old son Will was killed in Afghanistan.

The mother-of-four, 43, a photographer from Broomfield, Kent, said: ‘I am absolutely livid at these threats but they will not stop my campaign. ‘I have been branded a BNP member – which I most certainly am not – and my life has been threatened in the most abusive language.

‘There have even been threats made to the families of those who have given their lives for this country. ‘It is beyond belief. These are horrific emails with vile, vile threats. ‘It beggars belief someone could be of the mindset where they think it’s acceptable to threaten a mum who buried her 18-year-old soldier son six months ago.

‘The day they don a uniform and fight for Queen and country and then come back and have ago at me, then I’ll listen, but don’t sit with a monitor and a keyboard and expect me to feel frightened.’

After calling off the Wootton Bassett march yesterday, Muzscum Choudary said the group had ‘successfully highlighted the plight of Muslims in Afghanistan’. Earlier Mr Choudary said: ‘No sooner had I mentioned the desire (to march) Mr Brown condemned it and his Home Secretary Mr Johnson decided he would ban it and it seems now Islam4UK as well.’

And he later added: ‘I think Britain is living in a form of dictatorship – as long as you agree with what the ruling parties dictate, fine, but the rest of the people have to live with it. It’s democracy, but only as long you agree with it. (Then get the Hell out, Muslim POS)

‘I believe there are two types of people in the world – Muslims, and non-Muslims. And I believe Islam is superior.’ UK DAILY MAIL

SAY WHAT????  HATE CLERIC Anjem Choudary given 24-hour police protection because HE could be attacked by far-right groups. Police are livid!

WTF? But the woman to whom the death threats were made gets no protection?

Hate preacher Anjem Choudary is being given round-the-clock police protection following his controversial threat to march through Wootton Basset, the Daily Mail can reveal.

Even though the extremist cleric has now called off plans to stage the protest, carrying empty coffins through the town where Britain honours its war dead, he still receives hourly security checks at his East London home.

Metropolitan police officers have been told to give his protection priority above other local policing jobs such as muggings, theft and foot patrols.

The protection was revealed after Home Secretary Alan Johnson yesterday banned Choudary’s Islam4UK group, making it a criminal offence to be a member. As Choudary held a press conference to react to the ban, patrol cars and unmarked vehicles were still instructed to drive past his empty £320,000 rented home – which is funded by council benefits.

Officers tasked with carrying out these patrols have privately expressed their fury at being diverted away from what they regard as ‘proper policing’. But the Metropolitan Police’s counter-terrorism unit fears a far-Right group may be plotting an attack on the fanatic. (And this would be a BAD thing because why????)

Their concerns intensified after a Facebook campaign against the march attracted the support of more than 250,000 Britons and led to threats against Choudary’s life.

A police source said that since the checks began last week, they had already taken up around £2,500 of police time, often occupying beat officers for entire shifts if counter-terror detectives are not available. ‘We are being diverted away from other jobs to carry out these checks and they are given priority over other things, such as house break-ins,’ the source said.

‘Choudary has deliberately made himself a target among far-Right groups and his recent plans to protest at Wootton Bassett have stirred up even more anger. ‘His address is widely known and police fear it’s a powder-keg atmosphere. Senior officers are frightened of having a race war on their hands. ‘If something were to happen to him, we would be blamed.’ (UNFRICKENBELIEVABLE!)

The 42-year-old cleric cancelled the protest on Sunday, but yesterday showed no sign of curbing his fanatical rants, warning that the ban on his group would force young Muslims ‘underground’.

Matthew Sinclair, of the TaxPayers-V1 Alliance, said: ‘Taxpayers are going to be shocked to hear that the police are having to waste time, that they should be spending fighting terrorism, looking after Anjem Choudary. UK DAILY MAIL
