Bomb Scare On United Airlines Flight Diverts Plane To Utah

A United Airlines flight landed safely in Salt Lake City due to a bomb threat.

“Flight attendants found a threatening note,” on board United Airlines flight 741, scheduled to fly from Denver to San Francisco, Salt Lake City airport spokeswoman Barbara Gann said. Superintendent of Airport Operations Dave Korzep said it was a bomb threat.

Passengers have left the plane and are being held for questioning by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Gann said. The flight was diverted as a “precautionary measure”, United parent UAL Corp said. REUTERS

As attention centers around the plane crash in Austin, reports are coming out that a United Airlinesplane with 169 people on board made an emergency landing in Salt Lake City, Utah due to a bomb scare. It was originally headed to San Francisco.

The Salt Lake Tribune has the few details that have emerged: A United Airlines plane with 146 passengers on board was diverted to make an emergency landing at Salt Lake City International Airport on Thursday morning following a bomb threat.
