Pakistani Taliban claim bombing attacks on U.S. Consulate in Peshawar, promise more

Nearly fifty people (no Americans) have been killed in a series of powerful explosions in North West Pakistan.

A suspected suicide atttack in the Lower Dir district claimed the lives of at least forty people. Shortly after, four bombs exploded in the same area near the US consulate leaving seven people dead. The attacks happened despite intense army operations and US missile strikes in the North West of the country.
