It’s Sunday and President Barack Obama is on vacation, so that means it’s time for another round of golf on Martha’s Vineyard.

His motorcade got an early start for the Vineyard Golf Club for his second visit there during his summer break.

Obama also played on Friday at the Massachusetts island course, which is costly and exclusive but also known for its environmentally friendly landscaping practices.

It’s been a low-key vacation for the first family so far. The Obamas had a picnic lunch at the beach on Saturday, but otherwise has stayed close to the 30-acre farm compound where he’s staying. AJC

Four U.S. troops were killed Sunday in Afghanistan. Two died following an insurgent attack in eastern Afghanistan. A third died in an insurgent attack in southern Afghanistan, and the fourth died in an improvised explosive device attack in southern Afghanistan.

The deaths bring the number of international forces killed in Afghanistan this month to 42, including 28 Americans, according to a count by The Associated Press. Sixty-six American troops were killed in July, making it the deadliest month for U.S. forces in Afghanistan since the 2001 invasion.

The attack appeared to be part of a campaign of terror and intimidation being waged by the Taliban in hopes of sabotaging the Sept. 18 elections. FOX NEWS H/T ZIP
