It's OK for Barack Obama to have friends (Bill Ayers) who bombed the Pentagon

But when a radio host in Denver wishes for a terrorist attack on the Ground Zero Victory Mosque, the liberal media treat him like Osama bin Laden.

Denver Daily News Liberals are continuing their attack on conservative 850 KOA talk show host andDenver Post columnist Mike Rosen for coming close to calling for a terrorist attack on a proposed Islamic center near Ground Zero.

Rosen made his comments during a debate last week with local liberal political commentator David Sirota and KHOW’s Peter Boyles.

Following Sirota defending the proposed Islamic center in Lower Manhattan, Rosen snaps back, discussing a terrorist attack against the Islamic center.

“I think they should be allowed to build it, following the hijacking of an Iranian plane right into that building and blow it to smithereens,” responded Rosen.

Sirota immediately voiced his concern with the comment, pointing to Rosen’s background having led the charge to fire University of Colorado professor Ward Churchill after Churchill made perceived disparaging comments connecting 9/11 victims to “Little Eichmanns.”

“Remember, the same Mike Rosen now using his radio platform to endorse a new terrorist attack on New York City was the major voice leading the crusade pressuring University of Colorado to fire professor Ward Churchill,” Sirota wrote in a recent column. ProgressNow Colorado also fired back, calling on Coloradans to “repudiate Rosen’s call for murder.”

“In years of holding right-wing public figures in Colorado accountable for extremist rhetoric, we’ve never seen anything like this,” said Kjersten Forseth, executive director of ProgressNow Colorado. “Nothing comes close to the unbelievable indifference shown by Rosen to the victims of the worst terrorist attack in American history, not to mention the 1.5 billion Muslims in the world who had nothing whatsoever to do with 9/11.”

Forseth said even if Rosen was making a “lame attempt at satire,” the comment was completely inappropriate. “Despite what the world might think based on Rosen’s comments, Colorado is made up of decent and tolerant people,” Forseth said. “And we must have the courage to speak louder than the extremists who would shame our entire state by asking for another terrorist attack on New York City Ń which would kill hundreds if not thousands more innocent Americans.”

When asked for comment, Rosen wrote via e-mail, “Call it radical-leftist, transparently manufactured, theatrical outrage.”

Give Mike Rosen a raise!
