NIGERIA: Muslim Brotherhood shuts down internet debate over Shari'a law's barbaric practices

An Islamic court in Nigeria has banned all online discussions about limb amputation as a form of institutionalized punishment.

The move comes after a civil-rights group in the country used social network sites such as Facebook and Twitter to debate the issue. The online forum was launched to to mark the tenth anniversary of the country’s first shari’a court-ordered amputation.
