TAMAR FOGEL, 12-year-old surviving member of the family slaughtered by Muslims, asks Benjamin Netahyahu, “Won’t America be angry if you build more homes?”

Tamar Fogel’s words became reality when the Obama Regime harshly criticized the decision to build more Jewish homes in response to the massacre as ‘illegitimate.’ A State Department statement insisted that the new Jewish construction, as minor as it will be, “runs counter to efforts to resume direct peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians.”

Israel Today -Tamar Fogel, 12, who lost all of her family members save two younger brothers in Friday’s brutal terrorist massacre in the Jewish settlement of Itamar, expressed frustration on Sunday over the government’s sudden willingness to renew Jewish construction in Judea and Samaria only because her family had sacrificed so much.

In the wake of the slaughter of Uri and Rachel Fogel and three of their children – Yoav, Elad and Hadas – the government approved the construction of an additional 400 housing units spread across several Jewish communities in the so-called “West Bank.” While visiting the grieving Fogel family on Sunday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stressed that this would continue to be Israel’s response to Palestinian terrorism. “They murder and we build,” said Netanyahu.

Tamar Fogel interrupted the prime minister and quipped, “Won’t America do something to you?”

Israeli families like the Fogel’s have been greatly distressed over the past year by Netanyahu’s bowing to American demands that he not allow Jews to build new homes in Judea and Samaria – the biblical heartland of Israel – because the territory will soon be a Palestinian Arab state.

Netanyahu suggested that the blood of innocent Jews is the price Israel must pay in order to fulfill their biblical mandate to settle the land. “They say the Land of Israel is built up in sorrow, but we didn’t imagine the sorrows would be so great,” Netanyahu told the surviving Fogel children and their grandparents.

Tali Ben Yishai, the mother of Ruth Fogel and the children’s grandmother, urged Netanyahu to remain focused on building up the Land of Israel and not allow outside forces to deter him.

“You must understand how much the people love this land,” Ben Yishai told the prime minister. “We returned from abroad for the sake of this land. This land is our life, and we cannot be separated from it, no matter how many sacrifices we are required to make.”
