Hundreds of Egyptian Islamists (soon to be new leaders of Egypt) have staged a protest in front of the U.S. Embassy in Cairo to demand the release of the blind sheikh, an Egyptian cleric imprisoned in the United States for planning the bombing of the World Trade Center in 1993 and other NYC landmarks.

On Thursday, protesters near the heavily fortified embassy held banners reading “freedom for our sheik” and chanted slogans and held prayers.
The protest leader was Abboud el-Zomor, who was released from an Egyptian prison in March after serving multiple sentences for his role in the assassination of former Egyptian President Anwar Sadat.
The radical Islamists from the Muslim Brotherhood have wasted no time in taking control of the government in Egypt. Fools in the Obama Regime try to convince us that the Brotherhood is moderate, but readers of BNI know better. Too bad most Americans still think the uprising in Egypt was all about freedom and democracy.
