Berlin police searched a mosque in the capital after arresting two suspects on charges of acquiring chemicals for a bomb attack in a raid in Kreuzberg and Neukoelln districts.
Freedom Current (H/T Maria) –A police spokesman said the suspects, who were from Lebanon and Gaza, had been under investigation for the past few months, adding that police seized several coolants and acid normally used in farming. Authorities started their investigation after chemical companies who had received the men’s orders called police.
According to the public prosecutor’s office, the probe against the men was launched amid fears that they were possibly preparing a major criminal act against the state. The mosque in the Wedding neighborhood was searched because the two men occasionally spent their nights there.
