In the Muslim world a woman must submit to the man’s religion, not the other way around,. Of course, as a Catholic this man was a mere infidel who had to convert to marry a Muslim woman. Yet it is o.k. for Muslim men to marry non-Muslim women.
Furthermore, the Muslim father in law lied and told his son in law he didn’t have to renounce anything to become a Muslim, he is merely adding. Really? Since when is it o.k In Islam to believe Jesus is LORD, the Son of God and Savior of the world? THIS is the most obvious and clear rejecting by Muslims, considered Blasphemy, not some obscure teaching. Either this Catholic wasn’t much of Catholic or has not realized that by accepting Allah he is rejecting Jesus Christ as LORD. – Of course, in Islam it is o.k. to practice taqiya, meaning to lie if it is for the sake of Allah.
