The White House-controlled media prefers to call him an ‘Ex-Marine,’ while virtually ignoring the fact that he is a Muslim terrorist…first and foremost.
ABC NEWS A Muslim lance corporal in the Marine Corps Reserve from Virginia pleaded guilty Thursday and has agreed to serve a 25-year prison sentence on charges that he fired a series of overnight pot shots in 2010 at the Pentagon, the Marine Corps museum in Quantico and other military targets as part of what prosecutors called a campaign to strike fear throughout the region.
Prosecutors also revealed Thursday new details about Yonathan Melaku’s intended next target: Arlington National Cemetery, where he was arrested before he was able to carry out a plan to deface gravestones there.
As part of Thursday’s plea deal, Melaku, 24, of Alexandria, pleaded guilty to destruction of U.S. property, use of a firearm in an act of violence and intention to injure a veterans’ memorial, namely the cemetery.
Prosecutors and Melaku’s lawyer agreed to a 25-year sentence as part of the deal, and U.S. District Judge Gerald Bruce Lee said he would agree to the sentence as well. Formal sentencing was delayed until April so a pre-sentence report can be prepared and Melaku’s lawyer can request a mental-health evaluation for his client.
Prosecutors also released a video, made by Melaku, that was part of the evidence in the case, in which Melaku is seen firing shots at the National Museum of the Marine Corps as he drives by from I-95, where the museum is easily visible. In the video, Melaku shouts “God is Great!” in Arabic and talks about targeting the museum and “turning it off permanently.”
The overnight shootings in October and November of 2010 twice targeted the Marine Corps museum and once each targeted the Pentagon and military recruiting stations in Woodbridge and Chantilly.
But the shootings went unsolved until this summer, when Melaku — a naturalized U.S. (MUSLIM) citizen from Ethiopia — was spotted by police on Fort Myer and ran off, leaving a backpack behind. He was later caught and arrested at Arlington National Cemetery. The incident prompted a massive security scare in and around the Pentagon.
In the backpack police found spent shell casings; five pounds of ammonium nitrate, a common material in homemade explosives; two cans of spray paint; and a notebook in Arabic that contained references to Osama bin Laden, the Taliban and the “path to jihad.”
Melaku eventually admitted to authorities that he planned to desecrate grave markers in the cemetery by spraying Arabic graffiti on them, and to deliberately leave the ammonium nitrate behind. Nobody was hurt in any of the incidents, but Melaku has been ordered to make $111,000 in restitution for the damage he caused to the buildings, including the Pentagon.
Though no one was hurt, FBI spokeswoman Jacqueline Maguire called the case serious, and credited investigators for arresting Melaku before he did worse. She noted that a search of Melaku’s home produced evidence that Melaku was looking to build a homemade timer.
The defense lawyer, Gregory English, said he has no doubt that his client is legally sane, but it’s possible that some sort of post-traumatic stress or dispute with the Marines may have triggered Melaku’s actions rather than any desire to support al-Qaida or the Taliban. (Yeah, sure) He said Melaku never served overseas.

I am really offended by this whole matter and the end result of it, because those of us who are proud and honorable title holders of Once a Marine, always a Marine, I refuse to acknowledge him as a brother in arms, because he dis honored our reputation as a whole and then tried to use excuses, as in I am a muslim first attitude, which goes against the very principles of being a Marine, God, Corps, Country, Patriot and family councelor to justify his actions against my fellow patriots and American family. There is no further proof needed to understand where these muslims stand in regards to anything outside of first being a muslim, complete with the use of their excuses as a victim first and vengful personality second along with the treasonist attitude of a scumbucket of a person, to understand they have absolutly no place in our Armed Forces, let alone in my beloved Corps. Being “muslim enough” comes with the idea of allah first and only concern in his will for their life to be of no use outside of it.
Stenty Five years, and who accepts this as punishment for his crime, and attempted crimes against humanity in general, it should have been a the very least life, without any possibility of parol, just for using the training obtained while in the Corps to his advantage while seeking his blood lust over those who he swore to protect, this is a betrayal of the worst kind, and twenty five year streach is just too kind for a evil minded person, no matter what one thinks of while understanding the mindset of this fraud of a person and betrayer of my beloved Corps, he has commited crimes against the very oath of his office, justifing a firing squad under the provisions of treason. I find it more appropriate to form a firing squad of Marines, each with the live round in the the chamber, to dole out justice for a person who has just betrayed that oath and that of his duty to serve and protect the Constitution against all emenies, including himself apparently, foreign and domestically. This is yet another sign of the current regimes thinking, way to nice to those willing to kill just because(—add your justification) well, in this case he is a slave to the moon god, allah. Pathetic is more like it, they accepted his decision to take this punishment, yeah sounds to me like he’s coward too, because if he were really muslim first, he’d be demanding the firing squad as a means to obtain his virgins in heaven dieing for the cause of allah instead. I don’t see this as justice, I see it for what is really was and is, TREASON, punishable by a firing squad, nothing less.

dragon, I think it’s that inbred Muslims seem to have a genetic disposition for SJS (Sudden Jihad Syndrome) that lays dormant until it erupts. And considering that inbreeding is present in up to 70% of the Muslim population of some countries, there are millions of walking timebombs around.
Words can not express my disgust at this light sentence or my joy at seeing Bare Naked Islam resurrected.
