There are some now who claim that this law proposed in Egypt is just a rumor. But I have noticed that most of the sites claiming it to be a rumor are Islamic or pro Islamic websites. (HuffPost seems to have gone over to the Islamic side. But given that Muslims are skilled in taqiyya, we can’t be sure that they are telling the truth.)
And there are Islamic clerics who do declare that it is halal for a man to have sex with his wife’s corpse. Among them an
Imam Zamzami AbdelBari, who last year explained in a video his viewpoint. If I recall, this site even posted that video from YouTube.
So who is telling the truth? Are Muslims embarrassed that the world has caught them in a more disturbing and bizarre aspect of their religious and sexual proclivities and they are trying to cover it up? Or are they the victims of a cruel and bizarre hoax?
Islam really does have some bizarre beliefs and practices. So if this is a hoax, it was entirely believable because of the religion it came from. And Islamic cultures in the past have really legalized equally revolting things.
