Throughout northern Nigeria, Christian churches are ramping up security as the Islamist sect, Boko Haram, targets places of worship. Despite the ongoing violence by Muslims, Christians are refusing to let the near-constant threat of attack keep them from Sunday services.

I don’t care much about religions but I must say these good people have a type of bravery I couldn’t match.
For me the things I cherish the most would be chcolate ice cream or my Beatles collection. Both of which I would start condemning like crazy if need be. Well, maybe not ice cream. They’ll have to pry my cold dead fingers from my spoon first.

Qur’an 4:90 “If they turn back from Islam, becoming renegades, seize them and kill them wherever you find them.”
according to Wiki, there have been 18000 terrorist attacks BY MUSLIMS since 2001. I have yet to hear the Islamic leaders decry this as inconsistent with the “Religion of Peace”. Why is that? C’mon Muslims, tell me, I’m listening…(crickets). While the Left decry the illumination of these facts, somehow the death of innocents doesn’t seem to bother them. Why is that?

Three Arguments prove the ‘No Compulsion Rule’ Does NOT Apply to Muslims:
1) Koran 2.256 is a verse directed to parents who are not yet Muslim, so it cannot be applied to Muslims. The purpose of this opportunistic verse (2.256) was to allow more people to leave Judaism and adopt Islam by permitting the blasphemy of dishonoring a solemn vow. This verse is actually an example of Islam’s flexible ethics and opportunism in favor of Islamic supremacism.
2) Even if Koran 2.256 DID apply to Muslims, this verse has been abrogated by the Verse of the Sword Koran 9.5 “Slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them, and confine them, and lie in wait for them at every place of ambush.” Koran 9.5 abrogates and annuls about 100 ‘moderate’ verses of the Koran partitions written in Mecca.
3) Mohammed was commanded by Allah to use compulsion. Mohammed personally used compulsion many times in the Sira and Hadiths, proving conclusively that compulsion to threaten and compel people to enter Islam is normative Islam. This was understood by all the early caliphs who, before attacking a city, announced: ‘Aslam, taslim!’ (Submit and you will be safe.’)
Mohammed compelled a man to become a Moslem with these words: “Submit and testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the apostle of Allah before you lose your head,” so he did so. (Ibn Ishaq 814)

BTW…Islam is not a religion like Christianity…it is more a political ideology that thrives on conquest. That is the only thing that keeps it alive.

Good to hear that they’re increasing security. All Christians, and all other religions (Hindus, Buddhists, and more) should be doing this, wherever Muslims dwell. And not just these other religious groups, but all non-Muslims, should be armed. Nothing wrong with self-defense, and defending your loved ones.
