What Reagain was true, except for “a point” the point at which it is necessary to eradicate evil is the first indication of intent to conquer and erect an empire.
Moe should have been stopped dead in his tracks in 622. Hitler should have been stopped in 1938. Afghanistan & Pakistan should be smoking ash heaps.
Even Reagan blundered: he sent the Marines to Beirut to save Arafat’s bacon; shudda let the Jews wipe that shit off the face of the earth!!!

Winner of the annual Memorial Day Useful Idiot Leftard Foot in Mouth Award is…
The only thing more embarrassing than the original statement is the usual insincere, lame, lyin’ weasel “apology” made in order to save his own pathetic excuse for a career.
May 28, 2012 @ 9:24 pm
RRA, I heard about that. But he’s not the first who has said pretty much the same. All the leftie scum feel that way.
May 28, 2012 @ 8:13 pm
The last statement is the most hard hitting of all that is said. I lived in California when he was Governor . He did spend more then he had promised but he did put California back on track.
When he became Pres. Everyone knew he was for real when he had been shot and said He hopped all the Doctors were Republicans, then even the Russian knew he was a real man.
Thus he set the stage for the collapse of the USSR. Thank you for that Mr. Reagan. And thank you for your service to this nation.

To think he recognized Marxism in 1964 and we are still fighting it only it’s much worse.
Is there anyone out there like him? If so, we’re drafting you to be our next president.
May 28, 2012 @ 5:28 pm
My 2 cents Alan West might come to fill Regans shoes.
Potentially a great statesman there.
May 28, 2012 @ 2:01 pm
He was a great man, a man of truth and conviction. God Bless him.
May 28, 2012 @ 5:12 pm
Amen. I miss that man.

While the Sowjets occupied Afghanistan the USA supported the “Afghan Freedom Fighters” who in later times became the much dreaded ISLAMIC Taliban. Supporting any Muslim IS THE biggest political error of the USA! So yes IMHO Cancer was replaced by the bubonic plague. The “ideological” war against Islam needs to be started, as the greatest threat to “freedom” comes from this… just my two cents…
May 28, 2012 @ 3:22 pm
1proud, yes it is a mistake. We should have stayed out of the Bosnia conflict or supported the Serbs. We should have attacked Afghanistan, killed all the Taliban, then left. We should have left Iraq after we captured Saddam Hussein.
We wrong to get involved in Libya and hopefully we won’t make the same mistake in Syria. Obama is backing the radical Islamists in all the Arab Spring conflicts, and the results (imposition of sharia) and restriction of human rights is well on its way in Egypt, Tunisia, Ivory Coast, Libya, etc.

On this Memorial Day,
Remember, support, and thank our troops.
Because we, better than too many others,
Understand how much we owe them for standing between us and a nightmare ideology that would strips us of our freedoms and condemn us to the eternal darkness that is Islam.
May 28, 2012 @ 11:14 am
I had to go to the link of the original speech: yours truly just couldn’t STAND the “Muzak” background superimposed upon this “redux”!!! [If it’s you, dear Ms. BNI, who added it, please make a version without it as it only distracted me from the substance of this wonderful speech!!]
That said, Ronald Reagan couldn’t be more right!!!! His words truly have eternal merit far beyond the time in which they were originally spoken, and I understand how with virtually no change they very much apply today!!!
[Yesterday somebody whom I had never contacted before in my life (and who likely has never known me, as soon as he heard my voice on the phone, said “we’ve not changed our minds about you (after 7 years) and I’ll thank you not to call me again!” How do you react to such an absolutely BRUTAL brush-off??]
May 28, 2012 @ 11:13 am
Great speech, I applaud whoever wrote it. Government was corrupted long before RR but he marked a change when Statesmen held office and groomsmen/puppets replaced them.
Reagan was a tool nothing more and Saudi’s love idiots.
America needs people that believe in those words though.
The enemy fears freedom of speech and knows that if they take that from us we are doomed.
As for me, I will never be silent.
May 28, 2012 @ 1:00 pm
jFp, I don’t know about this one specifically, But Reagan was known for writing many of his own speeches, or at least a large part of them.
May 28, 2012 @ 10:56 am
Wow — BNI, powerful stuff — should be mandatory viewing in every town hall in the United States. Thanks for posting this.
May 28, 2012 @ 10:26 am
Ronald Reagan the greatest president this country has ever seen is as right as can be. He has said it all before it even happened. Now its our turn to play Cowboys & muslums.
May 28, 2012 @ 10:16 am
I listened to this three times in a row. It made the hairs on my neck stand-up.
I don’t think there has ever been a better US president than Ronald Reagan. I can’t imagine what the world would be like without his strength in battling the scourge of communism.
The free world needs another Ronald Reagan more than any other time in history
May 29, 2012 @ 9:18 pm
Draft Alan West!
May 28, 2012 @ 9:27 am
Thank You for bringing thes words to us on this day of remembrance and tears of love.
May 28, 2012 @ 9:01 am
Ronald Reagan, what a man! He certainly saw clearly, and told it like it is. Today even amoung the “so called” conservatives, in high office, are political compromisers. (I do favor Allen West) America seems to be inviting its demise. Nothing like fiddeling while Rome burns. Smoke and mirrors, dancing with the stars, while mosques, and sharia law is slowly taking over our country. Ronald Reagan, and the conservatives of his time, would never be silent over what is going on, nor would they stand by idily watching.
May 28, 2012 @ 8:27 am
Excellent and so relevant in today’s time.
May 28, 2012 @ 7:06 am
A fantastic speech from Reagan. No western leader today would even consider saying any of that, much less actually say it…
May 28, 2012 @ 6:23 am
Worth listening to and right on all counts…in spite of some of his questionable domestic policies.
May 28, 2012 @ 6:16 am
Ronald Reagan had to be one of the wisest Presidents you guys ever had. Wonderful, very true speech that.
May 28, 2012 @ 6:01 am
Brilliant! So Prophetic!
Just watched “Edge of War” on the rise of Hitler and the Nazi party.
As I was watching, I substituted the Nazi’s with islam.
