Tunisian women take a stand against headbags

The new Islamist Regime has already unbanned the wearing of headbags. How long until they make it mandatory for all women to cover themselves?

Before the Arab Spring, Tunisia was probably the most modern, Westernized Muslim country in the world. It was a popular tourist destination with Europeans and offered fine dining, bars and nightclubs. Tucked in the alleyways of the Tunis medina,  just a few hundred meters from the oldest mosque in the capital, Zitouna Mosque, Abdallah Guech alley is was an officially-sanctioned red light district in the heart of the city. No more.

Tunisian women like to dress in high fashion, wear bikinis on the beach, and enjoy music and dancing, just like normal women. Not for long.
