If George Bernard Shaw were alive today and had the benefit of our knowledge of Islam he would be of the same mind as all right minded people – that Islam is a totalitarian cult and threat to Western Civilisation and the further progress of humanity.
Afghanistan was occupied by Western European armed forces to enable the bringing to justice of those people responsible for the New York atrocity.
The leadership of Iraq was deemed a threat to its own citizens, neighbouring countries and further afield. It had been trying to gain WMD’s.
American (and UK) military interference in Afghanistan and Iraq was deeply unpopular with the majority of those country’s citizens. They either disliked the concept or did not approve of the spending of such costly human and financial resources for such little gain. As a UK citizen I do not see the USA as being colonial. There is no will for the take over of other nations. They do however protect their national interests as any other nation state does.
As a UK citizen, a white British person I am at a disadvantage in my own country. Positive discrimination means I do not have the same opportunities as persons of other races and religions. That is how Islamophobic the UK is. Also given the actions of Muslims as proscribed by the Koran – paedo grooming gangs etc the native British people are tolerant beyond belief; anything but racist. Compare this to how Christians are treated in Muslim countries.
Godless secularism is backwards and contributes nothing to society? In our Western European societies we espouse individual freedom (much as Mulsims hate this concept). It is the differences within our people in Western European cultures that have created the modern world you exist within. We are a melting pot of ideas, innovations, concepts and creativity.
