Why was the EDL demonstrating in Walsall today? Why Walsall? After all, Walsall is not noted for being a centre of Islamic radicalism or militancy.
EDL The connection is that the Muslims who have been rioting, killing and burning over a film and a few silly cartoons about Mohammad, are the same kind of peace-loving Muslims who live in Walsall. They have been manipulated by Islamists to create havoc and mayhem, death and destruction over what was a silly, badly-made film that was released over a year ago. The Muslims of Walsall may not be rioting, looting, burning or killing because of this film but they are being manipulated by Islamists.
(As you read the rest of this, notice the photographs of EDL members who were beaten up by the West Midlands’ police, apparently unable to handle 400 angry Muslims in Walsall, so instead, they attacked the EDL with batons. Photos courtesy of SkittlesTruthUK)
They are being manipulated to disengage from civil society, to isolate themselves and start to assert Islamic fundamentalist behaviours towards the host population of Walsall. As has happened in Muslim dominated inner-city areas and central town areas up and down the country, the Muslim community is becoming increasingly less integrated: they are deliberately setting up Muslim-only areas. Although there are no similar no-go zones in Walsall yet as in say Sparkhill in Birmingham or Bury Park in Luton, over the last couple of years we have seen a steady increase in assaults on innocent non-Muslim people just going about their business and a steady increase in crimes against women, including rape.
It’s a pattern that has been witnessed all over the UK. It’s a pattern that is being repeated in Walsall. We are beginning to witness the creation of an Islamic no-go zone in the Palfrey park area. Only last year a man was seriously injured in the Palfrey park area as he walked his dog. His only crime in the eyes of the Muslims was that he owned a dog and had brought it into a Muslim area. Earlier this month a young woman was seriously sexually assaulted by a Muslim in the town centre. People are not safe to walk the streets in these areas at night and it’s getting worse.
We are going to Walsall, to protest an ideology that denigrates non-Muslims and places them lower than animals and sees non-Muslim women as targets for grooming and sexual exploitation. We are going to Walsall because the West Indian community is suffering even more attacks every day on their community than the white community of the town. The very same people who stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the Pakistani/Muslim community to fight down the far-right National Front and their racist attacks.
We are going to Walsall to show our support for the West Indian community, to protest the vile ideology of Islam that is splitting communities and breaking down social cohesion. Other ethnic communities, black, white, Afro-Caribbean, European all seem to get along together and have been doing so for many years.
We protest against the vile ideology that denigrates women, that denies equality to them, that denies equal rights to homosexuals, hates Jews and Christians and hates the very culture and civilisation that its followers have chosen to live in. We protest so that no girl in Walsall will be groomed or raped. We protest so that no homosexual has to live in fear of his or her life because of his or her orientation.
We protest because it’s our right to protest and to criticise an ideology that permits forced marriage, female genital mutilation, honour killings and so many other beliefs and ways that are incompatible with modern western liberal democratic values and ideals.
We are fed up of Islamists who take any criticism of Islam as evidence that they are being victimised and who, if it wasn’t for these criticisms, would have an even stronger grip over the wider Muslim community.
Walsall may not yet have terrorists, but it does have Islamists. The more they are able to tighten their grip the more the sickness will spread. It’s time to speak out. That is why we are going to Walsall!
