BULGARIA: NO more mosques, we are building a monument to a national hero, Vasil Levski, the most important Bulganian revolutionary who successfully fought off the Ottoman Turkish Empire

Even better, the 150-meter high statue will be located right on the border with Turkey!

Novinite  (h/t  Pavel P) The new Levski monument is a project of an NGO called “I Love Bulgaria”, and was first presented to the public in July 2011; the local authorities in the southern Bulgarian town of Svilengrad, which is located near the borders with Turkey and Greece, have now unveiled a model of the record high statue. Bulgaria’s national hero and revolutionary Vasil Levski (1837-1873) was the most important Bulgarian freedom-fighter against the Ottoman Turkish Empire; on top of his great organizational skills and courage, he is also known for his strong democratic views and calls for setting up a “pure and holy republic.”

Levski was hanged in Sofia by the Ottoman authorities in 1873, five years before Bulgaria’s national liberation.

According to the “I Love Bulgaria” NGO, however, the idea of the monument has nothing to do with any provocations towards the Republic of Turkey, which is considered the historical heir of the Ottoman Empire that Levski fought so vehemently.

Their rationale is to locate the Levski statue along the route of the E 80 road (corresponding to Pan-European Transport Corridor No. 10 – running from Istanbul to Central Europe) in order to greet those traveling the great route linking Europe and Asia.

Bulgaria has several Mega Mosques yet Muslims prefer to lift their asses to Allah in the middle of the streets

The authors of the Levski monument idea have pointed out that they want to live true to his vision, summarized in his famous quote: “I dream of a pure and holy republic in which Bulgarians, Turks, Armenians, Greeks… will live equal before the law.”

According to the organizers the future Vasil Levski monument near Svilengrad will have the potential to overshadow the Jesus Christ Statue in Rio de Janeiro and thestatue of the Virgin Mary near Bulgaria’s Haskovo.

Bulgarian nationalists get into frequent altercations with the Muslim invaders infesting their cities

The Levski monument is supposed to be unique with two panoramic elevators located inside the flag post that the hero will hold, that will provide a magnificent view from a height of 150 m. The inside of the monument will also feature an interactive museum depicting Vasil Levski‘s struggle for Bulgaria’s National Liberation from the Ottoman Empire, an exhibit, and a restaurant.

  1. Spit shine that monument and teach the youth exactly what it means. Remember the Dark Ages and what brought it on. Then remember what the Renaissance was all about. First the mohommedists came in [The dark ages] and then the mohommedists were forced out. [This was the Renaissance.] History is a wonderful thing. Just don’t repeat it on this level.

    • I think mohammeddhism story is different. If they will conqueer the world, it will be the end of history. Islam doesn’t leave a room for renaissance. It’s the same as it was 1400 years ago.

  2. “There’s battle lines being drawn
    Nobody’s right if everybody’s wrong
    Young people speaking their minds
Getting so much resistance from behind”
    (Buffalo Springfield)

Sure, no provocation intended to Islamic Turks…see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. LOL About time lines are drawn.

  3. Well I am all for the Bulgarians, but I think their money would be better spent on their military to help them fight. The statue is symbolic, but it is what is in their hearts, which muslims fear.

  4. 3 times the height of the Statue of Liberty. Totally dwarfs the collosus of Rhodes. May have ditched communism but still into heroic statuary.

  5. Greatr dea! Sureh ope it reaches fruition and that all Bulgarians can be proud of their country and try to marginalize the descendants that ruled and made their lives miserable for several centuries! “Payback’s a bitch,” ain’t it?

  6. What a majestic and beautiful statue. I see mo wrong in erecting well-deserved monuments to national heroes and founding fathers. (We do it all the time, from Lincoln to MLK to one of Robert E. Lee in the Capitol, and so many beautiful war memorials.) I’d donate if I had cash to burn.

  7. FANTASTIC!!!! Particularly because Levski was actually HANGED by the Turks (alas, 5 years before Bulgaria achieved independence)!!!

Speaking of Bulgarian independence: I should remind my fellow-readers here that it was the meddling of the “Great Powers” (especially Britain under Benjamin Disraeli!!!) in 1878 that prepared the ground for World War I as well as the troubles over the Yugoslav breakup of 1990 that persist through this day!!! These threats of war against Russia, forcing the re-negotiation of the favourable Treaty of Saint Stephen (signed in what’s now the Turkish village of Yeşilköy west of Istanbul) that was highly favourable to Bulgaria as well as Serbia and Greece, resulted in the Treaty of Berlin.

That latter treaty not only kept the Ottoman-Turkish Empire with a prominent Balkan presence (cheating both Bulgaria and Greece of territories they coveted): it also took away the territory of Bosnia-Hercegóvina from Serb control for no good reason and put it under a Austro-Hungarian (Habsburg) “protectorate” (which the Habsburgs then annexed in 1908, very nearly sparking the Great War right then!!) while keeping all too many people under the Turkish yoke for another 40 years!!!

  8. This is great the Bulgarian people get it Islam is the enemy of the whole world,in the future when people wake the fuck up there will be a monument like this in a western Country, all these politicly correct people will be the first people the Moslem kill,so I say thank you to the people of Bulgaria.

    • First things first get rid of the Socialists running our country. The Feminazi and her Greenie pals will be gone in 12 months time. In the meantime lets hope Romney wins for the good of the Americans.

  9. What a wonderful hero this man was! May this freedom fighter inspire non-Muslims everywhere to take up the fight for freedom!

Abu Baseer in London: “One of the goals of immigration is the revival of the duty of jihad and enforcement of power over the infidels. Immigration and jihad go together.

The Quran teaches hate, violence and mass murder of non-Muslims and commands Muslims to wage jihad against non-Muslims and conquer all nations. In a dreadful act of treason many millions of Muslims have been imported into our countries by our leaders, in order to facilitate jihad and Islamic conquest of our nations. It is the greatest betrayal by nations’ leaders in all of human history.

“The whole of Europe will become Islamic. Like the army of the sultan we will conquer Rome.”
− Former Turkish Prime Minister Necmettin Erbakan, June 2002

Non-Muslims of the world unite! We must not go quietly into the night!
NO Islamic conquest of our nations!

Join the European Freedom Parties and Defense Leagues! Join the EDL !
Join/Support British Freedom in the fight for FREEDOM for Britain and the Free World!

  10. I certainly hope this is true. The world needs to stand up to all muslims..and not give them special privileges that they don’t allow their own people. No one should be allowed to cause traffic congestion. No one should be allowed to gather and prevent people getting to their homes or work or stores. And if they riot..then put their asses in jail! And/or turn the fire hoses on them! Just let them know WE aren’t going to take it anymore!
