Terror group Hamas’ American affiliate, CAIR, wants you to contact United States Senators Kristen Gillibrand (D-NY) and Charles Schumer (D-NY) to condemn them for supporting Israel in the latest conflict. (BNI Readers: You know the drill)
CAIR The New York Chapter of the Council on Anti-American Islamic Relations (CAIR-NY) is outraged by a Senate Resolution supporting Israel’s attacks on Gaza co-sponsored by Senators Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and Charles Schumer (D-NY) of New York.
The Resolution (S. Res. 599), which mentions Muslim terrorists and Islamic terrorism five times while failing to mention the Palestinian people, expresses unequivocal support of Israel’s actions in Gaza.
In an effort to expose this obvious disregard for the Palestinian people, and to highlight the objection of people of conscience who happen to be their constituents, CAIR- NY is urging people to contact the offices of Senators Gillibrand and Schumer today, Tuesday, the 20th of November 2012. (BNI is urging its readers to contact the offices Senators Gillibrand and Schumer and send your messages of appreciation and support. Also, because CAIR has so many chapters around the U.S., you can bet they sent this alert to Muslims in every state where its Senators supported the Resolution. You can see whether or not your Senators supported Resolution 599 in the list below)
ACT NOW & CALL YOUR SENATOR
Senator Kristen Gillibrand
Tel. (212) 688-6262
Senator Charles Schumer
Tel. (212) 486-4430
Please Express These Points (stay calm and polite):
1. As your constituent I am troubled by Senate Resolution 599, which is explicitly biased and leads us to believe you only care about Israeli casualties, while disregarding Palestinian casualties.
1. As your constituent, I am encouraged by Senate Resolution 599, which shows a sincere concern for Israeli casualties, while recognizing that Palestinian casualties were caused by Hamas terrorists situating themselves and their rocket launches in civilian areas, including schools, playgrounds, hospitals, and residential neighborhoods, which resulted in their becoming targets of Israeli retaliation.
2. In the name of “Israel’s inherent right to self-defense” which you support in your resolution, over 100 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 1,000 injured, but your resolution fails to mention Palestinian people. 2. In the name of “Israel’s inherent right to self-defense” which you support in your resolution, you probably should also have mentioned that over 100 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 1,000 injured, only because Hamas has launched thousands of rockets at Israeli civilians in Southern Israel and now Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. too. 3. As your constituent I hope that you do not use a foreign crisis to satisfy your political and special interests. Instead we expect you to represent the interests of your constituents. 3. As your constituent I am grateful that you do not use a foreign crisis to pander to the enemies of America and instead, use your influence to recognize and support our closest allies. 4. As your constituent, and a voter, I urge you to support peace, but never support the collective punishment or disregard for human rights of the Palestinian people. 4. As your constituent, and a voter, I urge you to support peace, but never support the utter disregard for human rights and the rights of a sovereign nation to exist as continuously demonstrated by the Arab people posing as Palestinians.
