What’s in it for Barack Hussein Obama if he releases the Blind Sheikh terrorist mastermind to Egypt?
We know that President Mohammed Morsi of Egypt is pressuring Obama to free Omar Abdel-Rahman, the Blind Sheikh, currently serving a life sentence in a maximum-security federal prison for his masterminding of the 1993 attack on the World Trade Center. What we don’t know is what will Obama get in return?
There is precedent for such a release by the Muslim-in-Chief. Barack Hussein Obama also supported the release of the Lockerbie bomber to his native Libya for ‘humanitarian’ reasons, after he was convicted of bringing down Pan Am flight 103 that killed 270 people when it crashed in Lockerbie, Scotland in 1988.
Morsi has already gotten a lot of goodies from the Obama Regime: Support for his presidential campaign and the Muslim Brotherhood; 20 shiny new F-16’s for free; $1.5 billion in financial aid with more to come; no resistance from the U.S. when Morsi made a dictator-like power grab right before he imposed a sharia-based constitution, virtually eliminating human rights for women and minorities.
Failing to secure release of the blind sheikh, Morsi says he will settle for liberal visitation rights for the sheikh’s friends and family. But we know how well that worked out when his attorney, Lynne Stewart (photo left), took it upon herself to transmit messages to Abdel-Rahman’s followers that he wanted to encourage them to break a cease-fire with Egypt’s government at the time. She’s serving 10 years in federal prison for being a conduit.
