The agency that runs the bus system in the town of Ann Arbor, Michigan has revised its ad policy but says it still won’t accept an anti-Israel ad because it violates two provisions of its policy: that the advertisement be in ‘good taste’ and that it ‘not contain any scorn or ridicule.’

That is a nice change. About time that Israel was not maligned. Way to go Ann Arbor.
Right on Carol; this IS the right kind of “change” for a change! Too bad the City of Dearbornistan doesn’t get the message…..but, THAT is probably because it is dominated by Anti-Jewish, Anti-American Muslimes with even the Dearborn Police being either part of them or their useful idiot dhimmis!!
Bravo Ann Arbor, the guy that wanted to place the ad doesn’t know what apartheid is I would guess. He just picked up some lingo and went to try to stir some shit. Or he is related to some asslifters.
proably both
It would be different, wouldn’t it, if Ann Arbour would agree to post the Mohammed cartoons on all the buses… I’m for free speech and have always admired how Jews tolerate all the tired old blood libel propaganda. But I’m for free speech for everyone including the right of cartoonists to lampoon Islam without fear of a fatwa being issued on their lives, their homes burned down, their families threatened, the right of Salman Rushdie to write fiction without needing to go into hiding afterward and for the Refusenik to write her book, the Trouble with Islam, without needing to hire a 24-hour body guard and to flee her homeland of Canada.
Great to know that there’s still somebody with sense in Ann Arbor! Yay!!! Excellent news!
Something just occurred to me…they might be turning this one down because they know if they allow it, Pamela Gellar will have a counter-ad, and if they won’t run her counter-ad, she’ll take them to court.
CWW, I see the problem as one of libel. Calling Israel an apartheid state when it is not is indeed libelous. Maybe the bus company doesn’t want to be sued for that.
Maybe they don’t want to be called Meshuggahstan.
[Not sure about the spelling.]
Splling’s good
Drip, Drip, Drip; Thank you Ann Arbor, we salute you.
good for Ann Arbor time to publically stand up for wha is right.
A wise decision by the Ann Arbor bus company. For what ever reason, I am thankful that Israel caught a break in this.
cat, I’ll be looking for the upcoming lawsuit.
Here’s everything you don’t want to know about this nasty little antisemitic Haj Amin al-Husseini wannabe.
BtW, he looks like those other dhimmicrat losers Gordon Duff and Mike Harris.

OT Can you post this Bonni, here or elsewhere?
It’s from an otherwise laudable VT article on WWII Spitfires:
[HF, no I will not. I deleted that link. 'Veterans Today' is a very anti-America/anti-Israel group and I'm not even sure they are really veterans. It's like the group called Jewish Voice for Peace (or something like that) who are more like Muslims than they are Jews. --BNI]
The People’s Republic of Ann Arbor is an odd place indeed. Students are often trying to stir things up.
