If you want a friend there is none like a dog! He is the most faithful friend doesn’t disappoint you. You can tell him all your secrets, sorrows, anger and he’ll never give your secrets away and he’ll NEVER ARGUE!!
Our children when small sat on the steps and told him all the parent’s “wrongdoings” and they cried while he licked their tears away!!

In the Philippines , the song was best known for its use in the return of exiled politician Benigno Aquino, Jr. to the country in 1983, during which Aquino supporters tied yellow ribbons on trees in anticipation of his arrival. However, Aquino was assassinated upon arrival, sparking the rise of People Power three years later that led to the demise of Ferdinand Marcos ‘ presidency and subsequent inauguration of Aquino’s widow Corazon Aquino as president. Yellow was also the campaign symbol of Aquino’s son who eventually became President Benigno Aquino III in 2010.

This is a perfect example of WHY dogs are better than many people. Mankind in his finate wisdom does not understand unconditional love. The Lord God gave mankind the dog to experience just a tiny taste of His unconditional love.

No wonder muzzies never smile or are happy — they will never know the love and joy of having a dog.

Heavens, BMI, I am just flooding with tears here! Dogs are indeed humanity’s very best friend! Just makes me miss my dog who died 10 months ago, of cancer. She was a real sweet and gentle girl. Hope to see her in heaven some day.
Thanks again for posting this.

Ort, so sorry about your dog. My horse died 2 years ago and I still miss her terribly.
July 19, 2013 @ 7:04 pm
I’m so sorry about your horse, I really am. I have loved horses since I was 4 years old. It’s been a dream of mine to own enough land to have a couple.
Oh, and thanks, BNI. ; )

She lived a long, happy life until 26. Now I take care of/ride a friend’s horse who doesn’t have time for him. He’s a sweetheart too.

God LOVED His Creation and saw that it was VERY GOOD – alas, Satan corrupted it by making Mankind to sin…
Otherwise, I just LOVED seeing that black Lab welcome the father of the family so exceedingly-effusively!!!! Truly, no better welcome back than to have a dog slobber over you and yelp with such joy!!…

I got married in 1982 and moved to Manila. We had gone home for homeleave in June 83 and were returning in August. Aquino was killed about a week or 2 before we returned. It was an interesting time to live in Manila. I did drive through Makati during one of the demonstrations. I was nervous and a little scared, but it was ok. The majority of the real violence was in the provences outside of Manila…thankfully. I felt safe through it all. Thanks for a walk down memory lane! 🙂
