46 Democrat Senators voted to give up your Second Amendment rights to the United Nations thugs

We wish to thank the Las Cruces TEA Party for sending the following email information to us.  This information has been verified on the  The Hill website.

Oops, someone sent this to me today, but apparently this vote took place in March 2013 per above link. Sorry. –BNI

MEMBERS AND FRIENDS:

We came four votes away from the U.S. Senate giving our Constitutional rights over to the United Nations.

In a 53-46 vote, the Senate narrowly passed a measure that will stop the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.  The Statement of Purpose from the Bill reads:

“To uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.”

The U.N. Small Arms Treaty, which has been championed by the Obama Administration, would have effectively placed a global ban on the import and export of small firearms. The ban would have affected all private gun owners in the U.S. and had language that would have implemented an international gun registry on all private guns and ammo.

Astonishingly, 46 out of our 100 United States Senators were willing to give away our Constitutional rights to a foreign power.

  1. I do not understand how either the president, the senate or congressional branches can participate or approve this treaty; as the Constitution is very clear, “Treaties do not override the U.S. Constitution” and “Treaties cannot amend the Constitution.”

Also, to bring foreign armies onto US soil, even if it is the UN it is clearly an act of war and I have no doubt if that was ever to happen, the UN will surely be burnt to the ground.

    • Re: “Treaties do not override the Constitution” – er, what Constitution are you reading, to come up with that one?! Because the American Constitution says the exact opposite: it says that Yes indeedy foreign treaties DO amend it!

Article 6 says treaties re-write the American Constitution:

“All Debts contracted and Engagements entered into, before the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be as valid against the United States under this Constitution, as under the Confederation.

This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.

THE ABOVE SAYS TREATIES ABROGATE *THE* CONSTITUTION, not “the constitutionS of the states.”

      • Please note the CONTEXT of your argument. ” All Debts contracted and Engagements entered into, before the Adoption of this Constitution,,,,”

We are now over 225 years into the Constitution of the Republic.
        AND
The Constitution has LONG been adopted as the Law of the Land.

      • Re-read it:

“ALL TREATIES made, or WHICH SHALL BE MADE, under the Authority of the United States, SHALL BE the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, ANY Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary NOTWITHSTANDING.”

        It couldn’t be any clearer:

        ALL Treaties abrogate the Constitution!

        ;-)

  2. Appose and vote against all of the edicts from the UN. This bogus UN, waste of our tax payer’s money is now being derailed and partially controlled by the 57 muslim hell hole countries called the OIC. These 57 countries do not put as much financial support into the UN as the US yet they are becoming the tail that wags the dog. We need to be out of the UN ASAP. Never vote for a democrate or a muslim.

  3. How far these liberal beasts have fallen! Back in the days of Lincoln, Democratic Senator Stephen A. Douglas (D. Illinois, 1847-61) told John Forney: “We must fight for our country and forget our differences. There can be but two parties – the party of patriots and the party of traitors. We belong to the first.” Sadly, it’s no longer so!

  4. The fear is the U.N. — especially with its long track record of failures — would meddle with the rights of American citizens and disrupt the American firearms industry. Many fear the Arms Trade Treaty would be a first step down a very dangerous road that could eventually lead to the disarming of American citizens and the destruction of the U.S. firearms industry. This is especially troubling when you consider the U.N. and the rest of the world give not one whit for the firearm rights of the American citizen.

    • @BLR

True, the U.N. and the rest of the world give not one whit for the firearm rights of the American citizen.

But, the UN and the rest of the world certainly like the American dollars to fund their lifestyles.

  5. Let your hearts not be troubled, our Canadian brothers and sisters. Know that we true Americans can distinguish right from wrong, regardless of what our politicians say and do.

  6. Let’s see how many are returned to office, then we will know whether the vote is rigged or not. I always have trouble dealing with people who seem to ignore the truth. People like bloomberg, feinstein, reid, moros, may they soon rest in hell. They are up in age you know. Oh! I forgot they may live longer than the rest of us because they will have a better obama care package.
One more thing wouldn’t you like to know that everyone may be carry a gun for protection , than to think no one is carry a gun including yourself, and get shoot? Just asking.

  7. I preached before the last election that democRATS had to go. But a a sufficient mumber of the always partisan jerks were reelected to give Reid the power in the Senate that he uses to stop any negotiation today. The statement still holds trues. It doesn’t matter if he is your brother-in-law and he will live in your basement if he loses the election. If he is a democRAT he or she will vote a straight party line, just as they did when they crammed the hated Obamacare crap down our throats. We must vote him or her OUT. We cannot afford to have Reid’s crooked hands controlling the Senate any longer.
    2014……….. NO democRATS !

  8. This UN small arms Treaty specifically deals with control of import and export of guns and small arms to control insurgencies .

It specifically states that it does not infringe on constitutional rights of states. The second amendment is protected.

But this could be used to advance gun rights restriction in future.

      • BNI, I’m not saying Obummer and his Demcrats will not try to subvert constitutional rights in future .

If they do , that’s when people and senators should protest and stop it.

But this specific “UN Small Arms Treaty ” does not violate constitutional
amendments and only pertains to Import and export controls to reduce supply to insurgents , criminals / jihadis across the world

Do you want to stop supply of weapons to Jihadis ?

The question is , is it practicable ? Probably not , as Russia and china have not signed it . US supplies small arms to most Jihadis since days of President Reagon..

        ——-

        As of now …

        190 nations agreed to it.

90 signed it and only 18 ratified it.

        US Signed it on 25/Sept/2013
        http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/09/25/us-un-assembly-kerry-treaty-idUSBRE98O0WV20130925

Its Not come to Senate for Ratification and probably won’t be ratified.

The Intention of the Treaty is Good like the treaty to ban land mine export
        control.

But it won’t be implemented and jihadis , drug lord militias can continue to get arms and ammo more easily than good pair of shoes in most trouble torn countries of the world.

      • Sujith, so what happens when Obama puts law abiding US citizens, such as patriots, conservatives, Islamophobes, bible toters, etc on his enemies list who will be prevented from buying guns under this law? Don’t forget, in his mind, anyone who slanders the prophet of Islam will have no future.

      • BNI , this Law cannot be used to prevent any citizen from buying guns.

Restricting guns to felons or mentally retarded or mentally suicidal can be considered provided there is acceptable
procedure that involves doctors , police and citizens panel.
but this requires separate law .

This Law is only limited to import and export of guns and bombs
from reaching insurgents , jihadis in hot spots across the world..

This Law does not subvert constitutional rights of law abiding citizens to bear arms.

In this case NRA and tea party have got carried away by
not really knowing what the Law really is meant for and also
that it specifically allows constitutional rights to bear arms.

If obama brings in a new law that restricts second amendment
then it would be completely justified to oppose it. But not this
        UN Treaty.

      • Su, with all due respect, that is crap. Why would you want the thugs and Muslims in the UN to have any authority in this country? Do you want to see blue hats on the streets of America? Who is going to enforce this treaty and how?

    • America’s most popular handgun is Glock. While they have just begun producing them here. The majority are still made in Austria. Same with Springfield Armory, an American Co. The popular XD handguns are produced in Croatia. NONE of these guns could be imported with the treaty.

      • If crotia or austria sign the treaty , you cannot import it anyway.

And aren’t American guns good enough to do the job ? Is American Gun tech so backward that you need to depend on imports ?

      • Whether you like it or not. The world is international.
Japanese cars are made in America. The Austrians make handguns that Americans like. An American Co. builds a Firearms plant in Croatia because they could use the jobs. THAT is how it goes in the real world. The Treaty has nothing to do with some rebels getting guns. It is all about Elites keeping control.

      • And whether or not you like it, America has been the driving force behind all the technological and economic developments in the world for the last few centuries, and can get along fine without the rest of the world; them without us, not so much!

      • You know that’s not entirely true. The Germans had a good hand in this and it can’t be denied that, had they not been in the forefront of rocketry, we, and the Russians, wouldn’t be where we are in the space programs.
Let’s give a little credit where its’ due

      • In the same place we are with everything else. In the shitter. Due in large part to our Gov’t parking it’s bloated carcass in places it has no business being. 800,000 non essential employee’s says quite a lot doncha think.

      • The corporazis’ downsizing and outsourcing our jobs here to their 3rd-world slave-pens there is obviously only treason.

Same with their importing cheap-labour armies of savages to replace us here.

Advocating for Globalization is obviously sedition and Globalization itself is simply TREASON to all sovereign national governments and their people.

No jobs here = no taxes here = no government defense of the people here = no country here.

There’s nothing “hard to understand” about any of that – unless you’re a progressive masochist who likes inflicting the worst-case scenarios you can imagine on everyone else in order to be able to maintain a pretense of control over the chaos you create.

I’m betting you don’t even own stock in any of your master’s companies, do you?

        ;-)

      • What you fail to realize is that Companies are not leaving this country because they want to. They are being forced to leave by our own Gov’t and it’s insane regulations. The Co’s are not the evil empires that idiots such as yourself like to pretend they are.

If you repeat similar situations like whats happened to Gibson across thousands of Corporations you get a better picture of whats really been going on.

      • You’re obviously retarded. I Majored in Corporate Law at University, decades before your birth: the corporazis have influenced the laws in their favour for centuries, declaring that their only crime is to NOT put their bottom line before all else; even if their taxes were ZERO, they’d still “have to” try to relocate to the 3rd world “to save” on labour “costs.” All you’re doing here is spewing back their propaganda at us, and, like I said, I bet you don’t even own any of their stock, do you, slave?

      • @Sujith,

” Is American Gun tech so backward that you need to depend on imports ?”

Is that a rhetorical question? Or a genuine question?

People have their own personal preferences of what gun they like and prefer.

As for American gun technology. it has a very long and impressive history of pioneering gun technology.

The Winchester, Colt 45, the Gatling, Ruger, Smith and Wesson, Maxim Machine gun, etc., etc, to name a very small few from a larger pool of inventors, hobbyist and gunsmiths.

Who have all contributed to American gun technology-past and present.

  9. These same fools who voted YES to the UN Small Arms Treaty Agreement are the same ones who are passing and denying bills on the floor w/o the American people knowing anything about them. Did u know that there is a BILL…S. 120, The Malala Yousafzai Scholarship Act..a SCHOLORSHIP FOR PAKISTANI GIRLS!? I follow BILLS on WashingtonWatch.com and you wouldn’t believe half the sh*t I could tell u!

  10. Great to see this detail on BNI. A lot of these names are familiar, and they belong to really creepy people, who want at all cost to get guns out of the hands of patriotic, law-abiding folks, while leaving them in the hands of law enforcement, part of the military and, of course, the criminals and killers in the street. If they could, they would go door-to-door and collect guns and ammo from every citizen or resident, but they would never give up their own armed protection. Incidentally, these are largely the same people who want to ram ObamaCare down our throats while exempting themselves from the burden. What they are pushing for is total control; what they are likely to get in the end is anarchy. Neither is a good outcome.

  11. Fortunately it was not that close. Ratification of treaties requires 2/3rds of the Senators present. Article II, Section 2 (the President) shall have power, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, to make treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur. I wonder who the Dems that voted against were?

  12. Traitors and ignoramuses. The country came into existence for the sake of freedom of speech and freedom to chose.

They do not deserve the citizenship they are so quick to give away.

The Tea Party is needed. ‘Democrats’ should change their party name to ‘Elitocrats’.

Destroying freedom of expression will destroy democracy.

Here’s a list of Senators up for re-election on Tuesday, the 4th of November. See if you can’t knock these guys out in the primaries. Consider picking a viable candidate to donate time and money to. Just remember the Democrats of today tend to vote for gun control & socialist entitlement programs, embrace Islam, while calling Christians, Conservatives, or Tea Partiers racists, terrorists, etc.

For all these Senators look for any recall efforts you can become part of. Try and find your own local Tea Party as well as NRA chapters to inform them of this if they don’t already know. They may have the resources to begin the recall process or be able to direct you to organizations with the resources for this. It’s worth a shot to become part of it even if it fails.

    • Also this falls right in line with United Nation’s Agenda 21. Here’s a link to the text of the document.
      http://sustainabledevelopment.un.org/content/documents/Agenda21.pdf

But if you don’t want to read the 351 pages that could forever change your life, please GOOGLE what this means. You can start with this six minute YouTube video that gives you an overall summary. The U.N. does not want Americans to have guns, because they do not want us to fight for our land when they fully implement this. Also Agenda 21 is being implemented right now.

      • FIA: Your fourth URL can be read differently:

        “democrats again stun agenda 21″

“In a nutshell, the plan calls for governments to take control of all land use and not leave any of the decision making in the hands of private property owners. It is assumed that people are not good stewards of their land and the government will do a better job if they are in control. Individual rights in general are to give way to the needs of communities as determined by the governing body. Moreover, people should be rounded up off the land and packed into human settlements, or islands of human habitation, close to employment centers and transportation. Another program, called the Wildlands Project spells out how most of the land is to be set aside for non-humans.

U.N. Agenda 21 cites the affluence of Americans as being a major problem which needs to be corrected. It calls for lowering the standard of living for Americans so that the people in poorer countries will have more, a redistribution of wealth. Although people around the world aspire to achieve the levels of prosperity we have in our country, and will risk their lives to get here, Americans are cast in a very negative light and need to be taken down to a condition closer to average in the world. Only then, they say, will there be social justice which is a cornerstone of the U.N.”

Agenda 21 plan. – See more at: http://www.democratsagainstunagenda21.com/#sthash.SBBqAx8A.dpuf

I never did like that “social justice” phrase, it always comes from antisemitic islamist terrorist brown nosers like Ali Izzadi-Kharazi’s ‘Mobilization Against War and Occupation’ and Paul Stalin Graham’s ‘Peace Alliance Winnipeg’.

Everyone should read that. It’s most certainly NOT just about the Second Amendment. And study European countries’ problems with the EU. Giving away sovereign power to a ‘higher’ authority is a recipe for disaster, like – you’re not allowed to deport alien troublemakers, criminals and koran-stirrers.
