EGYPT & ISRAEL, unlikely allies in the war against Islamic terrorism

Smoke billowed over the Sinai Peninsula as Egyptian forces blew up a house suspected of hiding a tunnel near the border with the Gaza Strip. This is in addition to the more than 80% of the tunnels that Egypt demolished after the overthrow of Mohamed Morsi.

The Israel Defence Forces discovered a ‘terror tunnel’ running from the Gaza Strip into Israel that was 1,700 metres long and built 18 metres underground but has now been rendered unusable. The tunnel’s exit was 300 metres inside Israel and terminated near a kibbutz in the western Negev desert.
