University of Missouri sticks it to a Muslim student whining about film ‘American Sniper’ on campus

muslim-student-missouri-american-sniperFarah El-Jayyousi (photo right), an arrogant, ignorant Muslim student at the University of Missouri, was angered beyond belief that the school dared to show the wildly popular movie American Sniper on its campus, but things didn’t exactly go as the demanding Muslim bitch had hoped.

(The T-shirt El-Jayyousi is wearing above says, “This what a radical Muslim feminist looks like.” Oh really, then what are you doing with a bag over your head, cupcake?)

Mad World News  According to the College Fix, Muslim student activist Farah El-Jayyousi claimed that the showing of the film would make her feel “unsafe” and went on to make ridiculous demands of the school for even considering the thought of allowing the First Amendment to be in practice on campus. How dare they show a movie about an American war hero in a place where “free thought” and the “free flow of ideas” is encouraged, right? Just wait until you hear what she had to say.

The American Sniper was aiming at a Muslim woman with a bag on her head here. Duck!

El-Jayyousi wrote a hateful and anti-American letter to the editor of the school’s newspaper. In it, she accused the film of dehumanizing Muslims and glorifying the murder of Iraqis, but the worst part of the little snot’s letter is when she said that Chris Kyle was a “killer with no regard for human life.”

While she’s earning a double major in psychology and women’s and gender studies, she somehow finds the time to be a justice advocate. Her letter stated:

I do not feel safe on this campus (So, leave!) and for good reason. The fact that this film is being shown, the fact that I have to explain why this film is not only problematic but harmful makes me feel even more unsafe (You have 56 Muslim hellholes to choose from, pick one and go there). Showing this film will create an even more hostile environment for me and other Arab, Muslim, South Asian and people of color on this campus. (One can only hope)

I am requesting that this film not be shown and that it either be replaced with a film that does not glorify violence or support existing systems of domination and oppression, or an event addressing “American Sniper” and similar films and media texts using a critical lens. This film is blatant racist (What ‘race’ is Islam?), colonialist (what Americans are colonizing Iraq?) propaganda that should not be shown under any circumstances and especially not endorsed by a branch of student government that purports to represent me and have my best interests in mind. (That’s just it, you are NOT represented on a liberal American college campus. I hear Saudi Arabia has a nice women’s college for Islamofascists)

Lastly, I would like to clarify that this is not an attempt at censorship (That is exactly what it is, only in America, sharia law does not apply…yet) but an affirmation of my right to feel safe in my body and identity wherever I may be, including this campus. (Please get out of America ASAP, you are pathetic) Freedom of speech should not come at the expense of anyone’s humanity and right to be viewed, talked about and treated with basic respect and dignity. (Obviously you are ignorant of the meaning of freedom of speech, too. You don’t belong in college)

I am asking that this film not be shown and that an official, public apology and explanation be issued by all parties involved in approving the screening of American Sniper on Mizzou’s campus. (Nobody cares what you want)

Well, her letter made waves across campus and caused the student government to host a meeting to discuss whether they would allow the film to be shown. However, there were reports that “many took offense to the article … [and] a common thread in the debate is the tension between free speech and a student’s right to feel safe on campus.

But finally, on Friday, the student government released a statement regarding their ultimate decision to tell El-Jayyousi to stick it, they’re showing the movie anyways.
