Many gave their lives to secure our freedom in both Europe and America, don’t let their sacrifice be in vain. Bit by bit, you freedoms are being eroded away by socialist reforms. fight back and make it known that you will not give up your country to those same people your fathers and grandfathers fought so hard to protect it from.

I’m a WWII freak anyway…but I’m reading a book right now called, “Snow and Steel,” about the Ardennes (“Battle of the Bulge”). This was the fiercest possible combat in the worst, bitterly-cold conditions imaginable. I wanted to share a brief passage from that book:
“Defending Krinkelt, the First Battalion of the US 38th Infantry, under Lieutenant-Colonel Frank Mildren, came under huge pressure. He directed one of his staff to call regimental CP for more armoured support. ‘Sir, we’re being overrun by Jerry tanks,’ went the message. The 38th’s commander replied, ‘Tell me, son, how many tanks? And, just how close are they to you?’ As a German vehicle lumbered past, vibrating the whole building, the young officer then replied. ‘Well, Colonel, if I went up to the second floor, I could piss out the window and hit a least six.’
I LOVE that–only an AMERICAN FIGHTING-MAN would say that! He’s probably gone now…but I hope he survived the war and had the wonderful life he so dearly earned. I wish I could give him a big man-hug and thank him. God bless him and his brave brothers who FOUGHT FOR US…

As these brave warriors shipped off to foreign lands to fight for us, so too should we fight for them here at home. Too many denied adequate medical care, lack proper housing and support. Thank you all for your service. To my brothers in the Persian Gulf, God be with you. Prayers for your safe return home and for all others manning the Watchtowers of Liberty. Everyday should be a day of gratitude and rememberance because your watch doesn’t end when the day is over and the last bugle blows at the end of the parade. For your perpetual vigilance, perpetual thanks and prayers.

I asked a WW2 veteran if the train wreck that is the UK was what they had been fighting for. Hell no, was the reply. Our traitorous politicians have a lot to answer for.

I am all choked up now. And my day of remembering and volunteering to help others remember has just started. Thank you for posting.
My great uncle was US Navy WWII, my father -USAF -Korea and Vietnam, one brother US Army, one brother US Navy, my boyfriend – US Coast Guard and according to genealogy records ancestors in the US Union Army in Civil War and American Revolution. I am eternally grateful to all of them and all the others who have given so much to ensure my freedom and freedom for my family and Nation.
I volunteer for the Women’s Axillary of the American Legion and am more than happy to give back and serve those who have served me is joy for me. We all need to do our part to show gratitude and remembrance today and throughout the year.
Please look up the poem “In Flanders Fields” by Lieutenant Colonel John McCrea. It was written 5/3/1915, written in honor of the fallen. The “Forget Me Not” poem is also good too. They both are hard for me to read out loud without blubbering.
We are so blessed to have so many that have done so much. They deserve so much more than our government does for them. Why does the government get better benefits than they do? That is what really chaps my @$$!
All of you, have a blessed day of remembrance. May the Lord bless you and keep you in the palm of his hand. Bless you BNI for doing your part to educate the masses to a real crisis we are facing on our own soil and throughout the world. I am grateful to you too.
May 25, 2015 @ 1:22 pm
Amer, great family! I, too, have a father, brother, and husband who served as well as several uncles/cousins. Most kids don’t have that today, sadly.

I had difficulty seeing the second half of the video due to a sudden eye malfunction!
Its so very tragic that many thousands of young men gave their lives to protect the freedom of their fellow citizens, only to see their countries now being eagerly or unthinkingly surrendered to the forces of darkness.
Western civilisation has truly lost its way, forgetting that freedom can never be taken for granted, because there will always be the probability of evil ideologies arising that care more for their ideas than our lives, and that the only effective way to counter this is by the use of devastating superior force. This lesson should have been very well learnt 70 years ago, but seems to have been forgotten in the fog of Western self-loathing, multiculturalism , and suicidally misplaced tolerance.

This made me cry. My dad was a 30 year Air Force veteran (lifer). I miss him. Thanks Bonnie.

Love it! The only bit that hurts me is when people start talking about god… Frankly speaking though, I’ll take a delusional Christian over a “moderate Islamist” any day…
At the end of the day the men and women of the US army fought because it was the right thing to do in their view. And that’s what really counts… We could all be bowing to Mecca at the moment if hitler had his way.
Why, oh, why do we talk about the bible like it’s the greatest thing on earth when the only difference between islam and Christianity is the focus on Shea law. Infact most passages in the bible are almost as bad including stoning. All you have to do is read the book of Mathew or Leviticus. The only difference is the demographic who have managed to separate church and state where islam likes to think they go hand in hand. It’s all ridiculous.
And when you do take that view… Become a secular humanist (athiest) you end up headding to these places a said workers only to be fucking beheadded…

“The only difference between Christianity is sharia law “? First, the Bible has to be taken in context to be fully understood. Big mistake made by many is that they read it from start to finish as if it was a novel when in reality it is several books, written over a vast period by many different authors in many places. Leviticus is a book focusing on Jewish Law of that time. By Matthew, are you referring to the Beatitudes? I’d say the major difference between islam and Christianity is Christ, firmly stated in the Beatitudes (Sermon on the Mount) along with hospitals, homeless shelters, schools and our system of law which was founded in great part by forefathers fleeing religious persecution in their homelands. islam does not have that. AMF if you were to read the q’ran and hadiths and the Bible with an open mind, leaving any other person’s interpretation aside, including mine because there’s ALOT that I don’t know, you’d see that they are polar opposites. One evolved, the other regressed to unbridled barbarism. But, you are correct. It doesn’t take a Christian to love or seek to help their fellow humans. Darwin described empathy and compassion as the winning attribute in man’s survival. Catholic Church calls it Natural Law. Muslims and their teachings are Unnatural. That’s the big difference. Blessed Be!
May 25, 2015 @ 11:47 pm
I’m referring to the book of Mathew which has a large number of distasteful excerpts. Here’s a few…
13:41 The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather from his kingdom everything that causes sin as well as all lawbreakers. 50 and throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
25:46 And these will depart into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
Beatitudes are the blessings from the sermon on the mount and in context we need to understand the following.
Another disciple said to him, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.”
But Jesus told him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”
Matthew 10:34-36New International Version (NIV)
“Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to turn
“‘a man against his father,
a daughter against her mother,
a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law—
a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’
Leviticus 24:22-23New International Version
You are to have the same law for the foreigner and the native-born. I am the Lord your God.’”
Then Moses spoke to the Israelites, and they took the blasphemer outside the camp and stoned him. The Israelites did as the Lord commanded Moses.
So I still wonder… Why under god? We don’t need a jealous, petty god like the Muslims… We need kind of heart people who know how to be true to themselves… Not a sky father.
And like I said below, Muhammed is the Islamic profit as Jesus is the Christian profit.
May 26, 2015 @ 12:03 am
I don’t want to take away from Memorial Day though. At the end of the day all death is trajic… No matter the side. The losses we suffered during the Anzac landing in Gallipoli was difficult to take on the chin.
I had a great grandfather who fought in the trenches and saw his brother die in the trench… Absolutely terrifying thought going against the. German led Islamic army of the Ottoman Empire. The story goes he was passing through and have him his last cigarette and he never saw him again.
I find it hard to talk about! Especially seeing how it affected my family and grandparents. I suppose the lesson I take away from this is, we ought not forget… And we ought not believe religion is the core of our society when if it truly were we would also be seen as extremists.
I spend my life apologising for offending people but I’m stopping today.
May 25, 2015 @ 5:33 pm
Mike, If you are ignorant of the full Bible, you shouldn’t be spouting off. As far as saying that Islam and Christianity are the same-you are really an ignorant idiot. Shame on you. Do your homework or talk about something else.
May 25, 2015 @ 6:22 pm
No guys Common that’s not fair.
So first off I have read the bible cover to cover and converted from Christianity as did my entire family. It was a scary process but we are truly secular humanist atheists now.
If you read the bible and take it literally you will find the Jesus wasn’t actually a nice person unless you really twist the words around. The sermon on the mount is a good example. If you only read the sermon in the mount part, then it’s great! However actually Jesus refers to the diseased as “dead” in an a
Earlier part. One of his followers runs up to him and says “Jesus let me bury my father and I will follow you!” Jesus turns around and says “let the dead bury the dead”… Referring to the leprocy ridden (perfectly curable disease now days) as the dead…
Further to that, Jesus said he did not come in peace… But brings with him a sword to turn mother against son son against father etc etc… I don’t do direct quotes but you can google that.
When you reference the only difference being Jesus and not Shea law… Muhammed is the Islamic profit… As Jesus is the Christian profit. Muhammed was worse without doubt… But I could go on !
Net net… We are all good people purely because it’s in our nature to be. As a cat dosent need a bible to learn to be good to it’s kittens and care for them, we don’t need a sky father.
I mean no disrespect to anyone on this thread when I say this, with or without the Christian god, the US are doing the right thing. With the exception of Hiroshima and Nagasaki… That was a little extreme given the circumstances. Children with melting skin isn’t exactly a victorious moment even in retaliation to pearl harbour… But we have moved on since then and it certainly did put two clear full stops to the war.
May 25, 2015 @ 11:24 pm
Mike, The bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki actually killed and maimed less than if we had gone in with conventional bombings. Even the Japanese admit that.
Just because you read a Bible doesn’t mean you understood it. Keep in mind Jesus never owned a slave, never killed, raped, stole from, maimed, or physically harmed anyone. Jesus was not a pedophile, or warmonger and never married. He died for you.
Muhammad had estimated at least 11 wives inclluding a 6 yr. Old child that he molested until she was 9, then had intercourse with her, had sex with animals, dead women, his many sex slaves, he stole, murdered, maimed, lied. He commanded all to revere him or be put to death, commanded murder, genocide, theft, maiming, enslaving, oppressing, sexual mutilation, rape, lying in the Koran.
The Bible says to not do those things, but killing in defense is permitted. Slavery was permitted because that was part of the culture, but one was to be fair to slaves and not mistreat them. Of course in modern times, it’s the Christians and Jew’s who worked to abolish slavery, whereas in Islam it is still permitted and stillprevelant in modern Muslim societies to this day. I was in Saudi Arabia in 1978 when active, legal slave auctions of Nigerians was going on in town.
Christianity and Judaism have evolved. Islam is still ever as barbaric as it ever was. So, please, there are NO SIMILARITIES. NONE.
May 26, 2015 @ 10:13 am
Mike, I was raised as an Orthodox Jew but realized LONG AGO, that was NOT who I was! I read The Old Testament, New Testament & quran…my father spent most of his life translating the originals from one language to another trying to get the ‘actual’ meaning. He was an ultra-LIB! Again, it took me 20+ yrs to realize that just was NOT who I am! Doesn’t mean I didn’t respect/LOVE those who ARE Christian/Jewish and would fight & DIE for their RIGHT to Practice their Faiths within our Society. Fanatic Islam & the quran does NOT coincide with ANY normative present day behavior that Americans are guided by…the Constitution & The Ten Commandments! It is a prehistoric caveman mentality that deserves to be dragged into this century…or blasted back into the Stone Age.
May 26, 2015 @ 4:55 am
I think we need to agree to disagree on this one.
You’ve just told me someone died for me that you have no proof even existed in the first place. In fact you have the same belligerent response (albeit not violent) as I would expect from an Islamic extremist.
Where did you get the admission from Japan about Hiroshima and Nagasaki? First I’ve heard of it… Sounds like you just justified genocide to me…
Pull finger mate… The nukes dropped are still affecting millions of lives worldwide with the mutations and radiation it released on those who survived outside the red zone.
Seriously you need to pull finger, don’t tell me a book written thousands of years ago on fucking animal skin is so magical and I need to do rituals in order to “truly understand” your absolutely insane. The people who wrote that “at that time” as you put it didn’t even know where the damn sun went at night…
You need a good dose of Richard Dawkins and Carl Segan.
This conversation is over you’ve blown my mind with your ignorance and intolerance.
