In the face of Islamic State terrorism and the growing threat from China, Japan moves toward re-militarization
Under Article 9 of Japan’s Constitution following WWII, Japan agreed to remain a pacifist state, leaving its military defenses to the U.S. However, with a rise in hostilities from China as well as the Islamic State, together with Obama’s repeated betrayal of America’s allies, Japan is poised to re-write its Constitution to allow active engagement in military operations overseas.
Can you blame them? Naturally, Japanese leftists vehemently oppose any re-militarization of Japan.
