Donald Trump •

Cruz would make a GREAT A-G. Some comments have suggested he only wants to be VP – but that’s a foolish observation: Successful Presidents have almost always paved the way for their VPs to follow suit.
December 2, 2015 @ 7:57 pm
that would be great
December 2, 2015 @ 6:26 pm
Why would anyone want to waste Ted Cruz on the totally useless office of Vice President? If he doesn’t win the Republican nomination how about Sec State or AG?
December 2, 2015 @ 12:26 pm
I like Cruz, but he’s completely conservative, which is a good thing in itself, but he will not get a lot of the votes Trump is getting, including from some Democrats. For that reason, I choose Trump/Cruz. But, Trump may choose Carson to try to get the Black votes.
December 2, 2015 @ 12:54 pm
Pave, Carson will not get Trump any more black votes than he already has. Black liberals hate Carson.

The Russian American Bund supports a Trump/Cruz ticket.
December 2, 2015 @ 3:09 am
TRUMP is going to mop the floor with cruz..
December 2, 2015 @ 3:08 am
cruz is a fucking weasel and the news that will hit the cruzbots soon will blow their minds. He is nothing but a latino lowlife and anybody that thinks he’s cool will piss their pants to find what an asshole he really is. He doesn’t give a damn about America or Americans.
December 2, 2015 @ 6:27 pm
You’re all class. Idiot.
December 2, 2015 @ 1:27 am
Between Cruz and Trump I pray to God that either will be elected as our next president. A Cruz/Trump or Trump/Cruz ticket though? That would truly be a gift from Heaven! These are the only two candidates that can possibly save our country, although it may already be too late unfortunately…
December 2, 2015 @ 1:05 am
don’t look a gift horse in the mouth , lucky us we got two of them Cruz Trump , Trump Cruz a dream team I hope will come true and either will fit the job description tough to choose , Now if isis stays true to form one of them will be a shoo in because we all know here there is another major terrorist attack in the making somewhere in the west that’s all it is going to take … what difference does it make Hillary you will find out
December 2, 2015 @ 12:14 am
Absolutely not! Doesn’t anybody know about cruz’s connections and voting history – or don’t they even care? TRUMP/ANYBODY BUT CRUZ – or carson. carson jumped in Iowa too, but then, thankfully, fell behind. Hope the same happens to cruz. FYI – cruz is affiliated with the CFR and his wife is a member; he voted FOR the TPP; he lied about casting his vote against Loretta Lynch then failed to vote altogether; his father supported Fidel Castro; check out his big donors, who will expect big favors paid by us. There’s more, but if no one’s vetting him, we’ll all be sorry. Obama wasn’t vetted either.
December 1, 2015 @ 11:17 pm
There are too many RINOs who will vote for Clinton if Trump actually runs, although I am very grateful to Trump for putting the Islam issue on the front burner for the whole country.
I was at a rally and met Cruz (and shook his hand). He was being shouted down by a Code Pink idiot. In a very welcoming manner, he acknowledged her, said it was a free country and that political discourse was important and fundamental to democracy, and invited her to debate the issue with him, which she took him up on. He let her have her say and then demolished her, all with a friendly smile on his face and a very generous spirit. The man’s an excellent debater and not afraid to posit his opinions, no matter how politically incorrect.
CAIR, I bet you’re having conniptions over this man. Well, I hope they last a long, long, long time, like the eight years (at least) after our Muslim-in-Chief is out of office (and hopefully serving life in prison for treason when the truth comes out).
December 1, 2015 @ 10:24 pm
I like Cruz/Trump better because I want an intellectual Conservative in the White House. It was so disappointing to have to support that turkey Romney instead of real Conservatives such as Michelle Bachmann and Newt Gingrich.
December 1, 2015 @ 9:07 pm
Has to be someone who is willing to call the Islamist threat for what it is. Maybe even Cruz/Rubio.
Hate to pop any balloons, but Trump’s problem is the following: He has a strong base (including participants on this site) amounting to maybe 25% to 28% of republican voters. 70% or more prefer someone else at this point. BUT, the kicker is: Trump is nobody’s second choice. As other candidates drop out, their support will go here and there, but unlikely to Trump, who has insulted and alienated way too many constituencies who could have been his allies.
December 1, 2015 @ 11:12 pm
HE hasn’t alienated constituencies–the media lies about what he says. Billionaire Soros is behind the Moslem invasion of Europe AND Obama, Hillary, the race activism (BLM, Ferguson), and the BDS against Israel, in addition to working with Islamic State and other “elites” to institute all-out war against the citizens in the countries he wants to bring down.
TRUMP/ WEST 2016
Only a strong business leader who is pro-America, and a military leader who is pro-American can get the USA out of this Leftist quagmire. The Left has become empowered and “statesmanship” and “politics” can’t touch it. Cruz is better in the Senate. The top team needs to be strong because the Leftist media and the elitist leaders in certain Islamic countries and Europe/Asia will be vicious.
December 1, 2015 @ 11:13 pm
BTW, Rubio is a gang of 8 mini-Jeb. Pro-amnesty, etc.
December 1, 2015 @ 11:34 pm
Here is an example. Trump has a great meeting with 100+ black pastors, and the press attacks him falsely–always pushing the same narrative. But Trump is NOT “alienating” these people.
Hillary etc. can take down most Republican candidates fairly easily, albeit dishonestly. Cruz would be easy to skewer in a fight like that. Trump, not so much. Soros, who is propping Hillarybwith his PAC, has the most to lose with Trump. Soros has so many bought-and-paid/for–here and around the world, he’s like a marionette master at this point. But Trump knows his game from the business/finance perspective. He understands more about what Soris is up to, and how he does it.
Trump appeals to a broader swath of America. Cruz appeals to a certain demographic, mostly. The Left and those in the middle see Cruz as a “cafeteria Christian evangelical politique-boutique” kind of candidate. I’ve seen this on other boards.
All these factors have to be taken into consideration.
December 1, 2015 @ 8:18 pm
As a Texan who supports Sen Cruz, I believe this union will happen and that that union better win in 2016 or we are finished as a country! Just Enough Because Bush is my last name will not do what is necessary to protect us from the Islamic terrorists who are seeking to get their campaign going right here in the USA and their sympathizers of which The Obama is a great one who will do nothing about it! Happy Holiday Season!
December 1, 2015 @ 8:13 pm
Trump is ready. He has something on everybody. Cruz is Canadian-born on paper, his birth certificate is Canadian, I wonder why this hasn’t been an issue yet.
Let’s not compare with Obama and his fake Hawaii birth certificate. In Cruz’s case, it is official.
Also, I don’t think Cruz wants the Presidency, he would be quite content with Vice-President.
As you say, the dream ticket.
December 1, 2015 @ 9:23 pm
He has one American citizen parent. Obama did it, so can Cruz. If he was not eligible you’d have heard about it by now
December 1, 2015 @ 11:11 pm
When people tried to point this out about Obama, they were smeared and ridiculed (including Donald Trump); therefor, I say that Alan Grayson and Ann Coulter are ESTOPPED from making this argument against Sen. Cruz. We clearly live in a horrid, post constitutional America. After a Pres. Cruz (I hope) leaves office, we can restore the Constitution and I am sure that a Pres. Cruz will help in that effort.
December 2, 2015 @ 12:17 am
Crus IS ineligible. Let’s not let obama set a precedent. Heard about Publius Huldah? She’s a constitutional attorney.
December 2, 2015 @ 2:20 pm
I know what you’re saying, I am thinking the same thing.
I reiterate Cruz does not want the Presidency, he’s going for V.P.
Trump and him have a quiet alliance, I believe.
NEW TODAY: just as Cruz was soaring, look at what Cruz just did:
December 1, 2015 @ 11:41 pm
Cruz renounced his Canadian citizenship
December 2, 2015 @ 1:05 pm
I, too, feel uncomfortable with a President who was born a citizen of another country. Actually, Cruz was born with three citizenships. But with Obama, a dual citizen, the precedent was set. Can we ever go back to the meaning of the Framers? I don’t think so.
Obama is the kind of President the Founders were trying to protect us from.
December 1, 2015 @ 8:12 pm
Is it Texans who say “Winner , winner, chicken dinner” ? … Sounds like it.
December 1, 2015 @ 7:32 pm
That’s the ticket I would like to see. Actually, I’d prefer Cruz/Trump. …but either way. ..
