GERMANY: Syrian Muslim invader sets fire to the migrant shelter in which he was living, tries to blame it on neo-Nazis
A far-left ‘anti-Islamophobia’ vigil in the town of Bingen has been disgraced after the ‘anti-Muslim hate crime’ it was allegedly protesting turned out to have been committed by a Syrian Muslim freeloader posing as a refugee. The Muslim, 26, set fire to the shelter where he was living and tried to frame neo-Nazis by painting swastikas on its walls, because he was dissatisfied with the living conditions at the center.
NBC News (h/t Maria J) “During police questioning, the man admitted that he had set fire in the cellar of the multi-use building,” police spokesman Achim Hansen told NBC News, adding that the Syrian suspect had also stated that “he had a lack of hope for the future.”
A total of 26 people were in the building when the fire was intentionally started on Thursday. Two firefighters and four residents suffered minor injuries during the incident. The shelter house refugees as well as migrant workers from other European countries.
“This was very close to a catastrophe,” Hansen said, adding that a “very fast response” by the local fire department helped to prevent fatalities. The arsonist sprayed three swastikas on the exterior of the building in a bid to point police in the direction of far-right protesters. Germany has experienced a recent surge in attacks on refugees and fires at shelters housing migrants.
New Observer The controlled German media immediately ran banner headlines announcing a “neo-Nazi hate crime” and prominently running images of the swastikas, along with the fire damage caused in the basement.
The Handelsblatt, for example, rand a headline reading “Police investigate right wing motive for arson” and this was repeated ad infiniutm by other news outlets.
The establishment parties also quickly got in on the act. SPD state Prime Minister Malu Dreyer (below) rushed to the scene along with Integration Minister Irene Alt (from the Green Party), and both expressed their shock at the swastikas.
“This is not only shocking, this is really too shameful. We do not want in this country,” Dreyer said, before posting on Facebook that “Hatred of foreigners and violence is abominable,” and that she stands for a “democratic, tolerant, and open society.”
Meanwhile, police in the northern city of Winsen arrested a 17-year-old Afghan Muslim on Sunday after he was seen setting a fire in the dormitory of another shelter for migrants. All 24 residents were evacuated safely after more than 200 rescue workers were sent. The motive was not immediately clear. HAH!
