Subway closed. Shots reportedly fired in other areas. Sweden confirms it’s an act of terrorism. Waiting to confirm that it is ISLAMIC terrorism. Latest reports say 4 DEAD, 15 injured.
UPDATE 1: One Muslim man thought to be the driver in the terror attack has been arrested. Another man is being questioned.
The Sun Local paper Aftonbladet reported that the injured man was a 39-year-old Muslim father-of-four from Uzbekistan and a supporter of the Islamic State (IS) terror group.
Some reports suggested he had posted jihadist propaganda on his Facebook page and had images of people injured in the Boston Marathon explosion in April 2013.
Police, who had released CCTV images of a suspect, have since revealed they believe the man arrested is the perpetrator of the crime with Stockholm police spokesman Lars Bystrom telling AFP: “We suspect that the man who was arrested is the perpetrator.”
