As nation mourns the loss of 40,000 pounds of bacon from an overturned truck on I-74, Muslim leaders demand FBI/DOJ investigation

A semitrailer truck hauling 40,000 pounds of bacon overturned on Interstate 74 near Deer Creek, Illinois, spilling its load.

Pantagraph  The driver, Rodney J. Kalman, 57, of Muskegon, MI, was taken to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria, with what state police said were minor injuries. He was charged with improper lane usage.

Litigation jihadists from a ‘prominent’ Muslim civil rights group plan to ask Eric Holder to investigate the spillage as an Islamophobic hate crime, aimed at preventing Muslim drivers from reaching their intended destinations from I-74.

MSN NOW  In the meantime, the nation is reeling from the loss of 40,000 pounds of bacon which “crossed over” when a semi crashed and spilled its smoky, delicious contents all over Interstate 74 near Deer Creek, Mich. The Eastbound truck drifted into the center median, when tragedy struck.

Luckily the driver was OK, so let us not dwell on the fact that the bacon is no longer with us, but join us now in a celebration of its life. The bacon was known — and loved — by so many. Bacon was an active member of its community and contributed to countless sandwiches, breakfasts, and even a sundae or two. Join us now in a moment of silence as we reflect on the joy bacon brought to all who knew it.

$3,000 REWARD for reporting Tampa-area schools that invite Hamas-linked CAIR members into the classroom to indoctrinate students about Islam

Billboard regarding CAIR in Tampa schools is going up the week of September 3, 2012. CAIR is using bullying tactics across the United States to intimidate patriotic minded people out of their First Amendment right to oppose Islamization of America.  We need to counter that intimidation.

FLORIDA FAMILY ASSOCIATION sent out an email alert on August 21, 2012 which announced: Florida Family Association hopes to raise $4,072 for a billboard aimed at the only school district in Florida and perhaps the nation that knowingly permits CAIR officials to instruct students about Islam and Sharia.

This will be the billboard:

The outdoor advertising company has scheduled the ad copy to be placed on the billboard during the week of September 3, 2012. The outdoor advertising company is not able to guarantee an exact day because they have many billboards that were removed in preparation for Hurricane Isaac which must be restored.

The proposal, contract and location of the billboard will be provided in another email alert once the ad copy is on the billboard. Florida Family Association is planning more campaigns like this one. If the reward is not collected we will post rewards for other situations regarding Islamization in America.

The Hillsborough County School Board in Tampa Florida appears to be the only school district in Florida and perhaps the nation which will knowingly allows Council for American Islamic Relations (CAIR) officials to instruct students regarding Islam and Sharia law. Tragically, board members have no problem with CAIR officials giving their biased version of “Sharia”, “Human Rights and Islam” and “Women and Islam in different countries” to hundreds of students at Steinbrenner High School funded by taxpayer dollars.  A condensed history of this issue is here: The Tampa Bay Times reported on January 10, 2012 “Florida Family Association’s David Caton protests Muslim speaker’s visits to Hillsborough school.”

Florida Family Association, whose public records request provided the credibility to first break the story, is preparing a billboard campaign aimed at confronting the situation head on.  All funds raised through this request will be used exclusively for this campaign.  The billboard campaign will:

  • Be seen by 104,000 vehicles daily according to DOT traffic counts.

  • Be hard to miss since it is the only major billboard for miles.

  • Be located on the primary route to Steinbrenner High School.

  • Significantly increase the likelihood that Florida Family Association will learn if and when teachers invite CAIR officials to address students.

  • Educate thousands of people who visit  regarding this issue, the Sharia threat to America public policy and the Islamization taking place in Tampa.

  • Hopefully significantly decrease the likelihood of pro-Sharia groups having access to students.

If Florida Family Association learns and verifies that a teacher has invited a CAIR official or other Muslim Brotherhood front organization official to address students on taxpayer funded property Florida Family Association will:

  • Organize a peaceful, educationally based protest in front of the school.

  • Hand out educational fliers to parents dropping off their children for class.

  • Rent the school auditorium for a special event to educate the community regarding the truth about Islam being mostly a political movement with a religious flavor.

Florida Family Association hopes to raise $4,072 for a billboard aimed at the only school district in Florida and perhaps the nation that knowingly permits CAIR officials to instruct students about Islam and Sharia.

Radical Muslim group tries to buy off Brooklyn neighborhood mosque opponents with free backpacks

Two Sheepshead Bay residents still fighting the all-but-lost ongoing battle to stop the construction of an ostentatious mosque in a Jewish residential neighborhood, protested a school supply giveaway in front of the still-under-construction Islamic Infiltration Center.

Brooklyn Daily  But they were drowned out by the greed of the entitlement whores – dozens of parents and children looking for free stuff – backpacks, notebooks, and pencils.

Two neighbors noticed the Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated  Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) — a radcial Muslim group affiliated with the new mosque — handing out the supplies and used the opportunity to launch an impromptu protest, claiming that the building will destroy their block.

“They picked the wrong place,” said resident Leonard Krupnik. “This is a residential community (where no Muslims live, but plenty of ex-KGB Russian Jews do)

Krupnik and fellow protestor Victor Benari weren’t holding signs protesting the mosque’s location. They were holding signs reading “No M.A.S.” — an abbreviation for the Muslim American Society, which have proven ties to Islamic extremist groups.

Opponents to the mosque say that traffic and parking are their driving concerns in demanding that the house of worship close, but the tenor of their earlier rallies — which once drew hundreds of angry protestors to Voorhies Avenue — were more anti-Islamic than anti-congestion.

Neighbors protesting the mosque often held signs reading, “Islam not welcome here,” “New York is not Islamabad” and “Do not forget 9-11!” One resident even claimed he was going to “blow up the mosque” if it was built.

But the number of protests — and protestors — dwindled after the Bay People, the organization fighting the mosque, lost repeated lawsuits to have the project halted.

The Muslim Brotherhood-funded Islamic Circle of North America purchased 25,000 school bags for the annual relief effort it holds in 49 cities across the country.

FRENCH politicians calling for military intervention in crime-ridden, Muslim-dominated Marseilles

The Socialist Senator for Marseilles, Samia Ghali, has called for the French military to be deployed to deal with spiralling violence in the city, which regularly features the use of Kalashnikov automatic weapons.

Islam vs Europe  “Today, confronted with the weapons of war used by the networks, only the army is capable of intervening. to disarm the dealers first of all. And then to block the clients from accessing the districts, as in time of war, with barricades. Even if that has to last a year or two, we need it,” declared Samia Ghali in La Provence.

“After this latest bloody summer, truths must be uttered. I think that the authorities are not aware of the gravity of the situation. The killings going on in Marseilles are becoming a national media attraction.”

Meanwhile, the French Socialist Prime Minister Hollande has rejected the call.

“It is out of the question for the army to respond to these dramas and these crimes. There is no enemy within.”

But Ghali isn’t the only politicians calling for military intervention.

Islam vs Europe  Seine-Saint-Denis is at the other end of the country from Marseilles. It’s part of Greater Paris, and has the highest immigrant density of any political district in France. It’s probably the most Muslim-colonised area in the country, although Marseilles will be the most Muslim-colonised big city. Is it a coincidence that these demands for military intervention are coming from the two most Muslim-enriched areas? Of course not. It’s also very interesting that the politicians demanding military intervention are leftists, a Socialist in Marseilles and an ecologist in Seine-Saint-Denis. Perhaps that’s not surprising, though, since the Muslims tend to vote leftists into power in all areas they take over.

In calling for the intervention of the army in Marseilles to put an end to the bloody settling of scores in the city, Samia Ghali, the Socialist senator for the Phocean city echoes the demand, in June 2011, by Stéphane Gatignon, the mayor (EELV) of Sevran (Seine-Saint-Denis) to send blue helmets to his city to curb the infernal cycle of violence. “The only solution is a 24/7 presence, he declared last year. Until there is a change in the law, we cannot manage this situation. We need peacekeeping forces, blue helmets, like those we send abroad to prevent belligerents killing one another.”

“We are confronted with an insoluble situation. There is a real sense of not being able to take any more, which we need to get out of but we are not able to, he explains. We are in a situation where politics needs to take account of the real state of society.

Canadians against Muslim persecution/genocide of Hindus

The Islamic nations of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Malaysia thrive on torture, mass rape and genocide.

Islam is peace said the Muslims as they slaughtered Hindus and Buddhists. Islam is peace said the Muslims as they slaughtered the Sikhs Armenians & Greeks. More than 80 million Hindus and Buddhists were killed during 11th-14th Century by Muslims.

THE BAD NEWS: Not ALL the Afghan Muslim invaders from Indonesia drowned when their boat capsized* on the way to Australia

THE GOOD NEWS: The survivors are being sent back to Indonesia, NOT Australia. In the past, attempts to send survivors back to Indonesia have proved difficult, or even failed. Asylum Welfare seekers have protested or threatened self-harm in response to being sent back to a Muslim country.

*Human traffickers have started intentionally sinking boats, or sending out fake SOS calls about Muslim invader boats sinking so they will be ‘rescued’ by the Australian Navy.

ABC  Indonesia’s search and rescue authority says 54 Muslim asylum seekers who were pulled from the water after their boat sank are being transferred to the country’s mainland. Dozens of people are still missing after the boat, bound for Australia, sank near Indonesia’s Sunda Strait two days ago. The boat was believed to have up to 150 people on board.

There was a standoff for a while, and the asylum seekers were saying, “We don’t want to be here”. They even said to the authorities here, “You know, you didn’t come to rescue us. It was Australia that saved us, so you’re not here to help us. So, why do we have to come to Indonesia?”

They’re also concerned because Indonesia is not a signatory to the UN Convention on Refugees, and it doesn’t offer any protection for asylum seekers. They know that their fate now is to go into Indonesian immigration detention.

They said that they didn’t receive any medical attention or any food on board the Australian Navy ship HMAS Maitland. But that was because they didn’t have enough food to go around and the Navy only had enough food to support themselves, and that they didn’t have any proper medical officers or doctors on board to provide any sort of medical assistance to these guys.

Many of them had cuts and grazes and scrapes and some of them were sunburnt and really, sort of, looked… you know, in pretty poor condition. Some of them passed out on the deck of the boat when they arrived, so they clearly… they were taken away for medical attention here in Merak, but you know, medical attention in Indonesia is not what you’d expect in Australia.

So most of them have been taken to a hotel which will act as a pseudo-immigration detention centre for the time being until they can be transferred to a facility here. In Indonesia, the immigration detention facility is straining under the pressure of the crackdown on phony asylum seekers.

We were surprised that Indonesia was willing to accept them, because normally Indonesia doesn’t really want to have a bar of them. They see them as a problem here and a problem they’d rather be rid of, so they’re quite happy to see them taken to Christmas Island. In the past, this year when people have been saved in Indonesian waters, the Navy has taken them straight to Christmas Island.

A Navy official here told us on the sidelines that the reason they accepted them is really to make it look like they were helping. They didn’t want to… it was sort of about image; they didn’t want to be seen to you know not, sort of, respect human rights or want to look after and save these people, but ultimately it was Australian Navy officials who ordered them off the boat.

The asylum seekers said they were initially told by the Navy personnel that they would be taken to Darwin but instead they were transferred on to an Indonesian ship and told they had to get on to it, because they were in Indonesian waters.

Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood has already started using crucifixions to cleanse the country of political opponents. Now, a ‘graphic’ video out of Yemen shows the crucifixion of man accused of spying for the U.S.

WND recently confirmed a Sky News Arabia report of the crucifixion of dissidents in Egypt. According to a report by Lebanon Today translated into English, the Yemeni jihadist group Ansar al-Shariah took control of the Azzan area of Yemen and imposed Islamic law, or Shariah. In the process, the group crucified three men, accusing them of being agents for the U.S. The executions reportedly took place several months ago.

Former PLO operative turned terrorism analyst Walid Shoebat says the inscription in the photo of one of the victims reads, “He was crucified for three days in accordance to Shariah.” Shoebat says Lebanon Today reported the group carried out the Shariah-prescribed penalties, explaining the multiple executions were retribution for passing information to U.S. forces to carry out attacks by pilot-less drones.

[UPDATED] Oh, Lookie! Now CAIR has blonde-haired, infidel women demanding limits on our free speech rights

A non-Muslim looking woman with a non-Muslim sounding name sounds the alarms about “Islamophobic” rhetoric being directly responsible for hatred against Muslims. Never does she venture to think that Muslim’s anti-American behavior is directly responsible for hatred against Muslims.

Her name is JILLIAN HOLZBAUER and looking at her photo (right), one would never guess that she works for terror-linked CAIR (Council on Anti-American Islamic Relations) but she does. In fact, she is Communications Director (and chief propagandist) for CAIR-Oklahoma. You’ll recognize her phony claims, we’ve seen them here so many times before. They seem to be the standard talking points distributed by CAIR to all the media and Democrat politicians.

Tulsa World  Jillian writes: “Islamophobia has become a prominent buzzword in the realm of political rhetoric. Some see it as the pinnacle of a climate of discrimination in America; others view it as a smear tactic to inhibit free speech. But what is the real pulse of our great nation when it comes to that delicate balance between freedom of religion and freedom of speech?

U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., and others declare that the United States government has been infiltrated and compromised by Muslim terrorists. U.S. Rep. Joe Walsh, R-Ill., contends that radical Islam is “trying to kill Americans every week” and that “it is a threat that is much more at home now than it was after 9/11.”

In our own state, former Rep. Rex Duncan said of Islam and Sharia law, “It’s the face of the enemy, and we need to call it what it is.”

Meanwhile, vandals throw bottles  filled with acid at an Islamic school for children in Illinois (No, it was ONE bottle found on the lawn). Assailants hurl bloody pig legs at worshippers leaving a prayer service at a mosque in California. (NO, two women dropped 3 pigs legs outside a mosque, they didn’t hurl anything at anyone) A mosque in Joplin, Mo., is burned to rubble. (Yet still no arrests, even though there was a clear photo of a strange man near the mosque at night a few weeks before) Oklahoma City-area Muslims wake up to find their house of worship vandalized with paint balls. (There were about 6 small paintball marks on the door of the mosque, easily washable)

Within a week and a half, eight cases of attacks on houses of worship occurred nationwide, seven of them against the American-Muslim community. (What they call “attacks,” normal people call graffiti or minor vandalism of the cosmetic kind). It has become increasingly difficult to ignore the extent to which extreme rhetoric is inspiring extreme actions. (You call it “extreme rhetoric,” the rest of us call it the truth)

We have collectively buried our heads in the sand on the issue of discrimination and Islamophobia, and are now reaping the suffocating results: bigotry and violence targeting American Muslims. (Buried your heads? HAH! I have hundreds of stories just on this blog of CAIR thugs whining about everything from a kid calling another kid, ‘Raghead’ to countless lawsuits against employers who refuse to allow Muslim headbags to be worn at work. Much of the hatred directed at Muslims is because Muslims never stop accusing Americans of being insensitive to their over-the-top religious demands) Violence is unacceptable, but so is silence. As Elie Wiesel said, “Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormenter, never the tormented.” (You relentless whiners are anything but silent)

An attack on any house of worship should be considered an attack on every house of worship and, further, an attack on our American values. (That’s the problem, Muslims hate American values, think they are superior, and never let us forget it) When our own citizens are living in fear every day for doing what our Constitution promises they can do – practice their religion freely and openly – we cannot continue to propagate statements that demonize them, then scratch our heads in mock wonder and disown responsibility for violent acts against them. (The Constitution does not give you the right to impose your religion on the rest of us which is what you keep trying to do. Graffiti and paintballs and pigs feet are violence? Suicide bombers, murders of soldiers on US soil, plotting to attack government buildings, female genital mutilation, honor killings, now THAT’S violence at which Muslims excel)

Applauding suspicion of an entire people group while feigning surprise when violence against that very same group surges is at best disingenuous, and at worst dangerous. (Suspicious behavior by Muslims is what causes people to be suspicious of them)

As long as this gross trend of debasing and dehumanizing our fellow citizens who happen to be Muslim continues, it is the responsibility of freedom-loving Americans to stand together and say that we will not tolerate hatred and discrimination in our community. (Muslims hate freedom which is why they are trying to kill free speech and impose sharia law on us)

Oklahomans have a reputation for being some of the friendliest people in the nation. I pray we as Oklahomans, and we as Americans, will extend that warmth and hospitality to our neighbors of all faiths and backgrounds; I pray that we as Oklahomans and Americans will stand up and speak out against the hate that threatens to swallow us all.” (Most of the hate in the world comes from Muslims, who learn to hate unbelievers from their holy books)

Thanks to BNI Reader Henry P, we  now have some background information on Jillian, who happens to be a ‘Jew, or should I say ‘Judenrat who worked for the ‘Holy Land’ Trust, the same terrorist-funding charity that put several CAIR officials behind bars.

Jillian Holzbauer of Stillwater carried a sign saying, “This Jew supports peace in Palestine.”

Holzbauer, a student at Oklahoma State University, said she spent the past three summers in the West Bank working with Holy Land Trust, a Palestinian nonprofit group.

“I saw that this isn’t really a religious issue, this is an issue about people who are living under military occupation for 40 years and they’re in a very desperate situation,” she said. The Rev. Kristen Brown, a United Methodist minister assigned to the campus of Southwest Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, said she attended the event to bring awareness about the Palestinians’ plight.  ZOOM INFO

Guess who’s outraged over hilarious sitcom about Muslims?

OMG! Muslims mocking themselves on TV. Is that halal? Well, at least one Muslim, author of this article, appreciates the self-deprecating humor of ‘Citizen Khan’ and doesn’t find it ‘racist’ or ‘Islamophobic.’

UK DAILY MAIL  (H/T Rob E) On Monday night, I laughed out loud as I watched the first episode of BBC1’s new comedy series Citizen Khan, about a Muslim community leader and his family. As someone with the surname Khan — and as a British Muslim who grew up in Nottingham’s Asian community in the Seventies — if anyone was going to be offended by the mickey-taking, surely it would be me.

But no, I loved the sitcom and tweeted my congratulations to its creator and star, Adil Ray, as soon as it finished.

At last, I thought, a home-grown sitcom that allowed British Muslims to laugh at themselves. Good on the BBC for finally realising the comic potential in one of the biggest communities that make up modern Britain. Of course, it’s a shame it took the Beeb 40 years, but it got there eventually.

However, the next day I discovered that my views ran counter to many, who criticised the programme for ridiculing Islam and for containing ‘stereotypes about Asians’. The Twittersphere positively boiled with righteous, religious indignation.

Yesterday the BBC received more complaints from viewers and religious leaders about the first episode. It is believed the number has risen to 600. The comedy is billed as a humorous take on the lives of an ordinary Muslim family living in today’s Britain. However, critics claim it stereotypes Muslims and is ‘disrespectful to the Koran’.

Syed Arshadeem, of the Union of Muslim Organisations of UK and Ireland, said it was important to strike a balance between good comedy and the feelings of the  community, but that ‘a large proportion of Muslims will be unamused by the negative stereotypes because it leads to misrepresentation’. One viewer said the programme had ‘ridiculed’ and ‘insulted’ Islam, adding it had been a ‘mocking show’.

Oh, please! Never mind that the programme attracted an audience of almost 3.5 million in a late-night slot — the  only thing that some people want to talk about are the  clichés, the stereotypes and the insults.

This is most odd, I thought, because I don’t remember the Irish getting so hot and  bothered by the TV sitcom Father Ted, which is full of Irish stereotypes.

A certain scene in Citizen Khan seems to have caused particular offence. It was when Mr Khan — the sort of splendidly self-important community leader I recognised instantly — came home, and his glamorous daughter pulled on her headscarf to hide her fully made-up face and started to read the Koran.

Among those who complained, many accused the show’s British Muslim creator of insulting the Koran and demeaning the hijab (the headscarf) and what it stands for.

But that’s nonsense. Muslim girls like this can be found in any big city in Britain. I see them every time I go shopping — gorgeous-looking girls peering out from under their casually draped headscarves. I grew up with many such girls, too. And ironically, these girls were the clever ones.

When I was younger and crashing around — causing no end of family upset by saying I couldn’t see the point in  wearing a headscarf and declaring that I wanted to be more British than Muslim — these girls were the smart cookies who realised that life would be easier if they just combined a little Muslim modesty with their otherwise fairly Western lifestyles.

Such girls realised that as long as their father saw them going through the dutiful motions, he would be happy that they had remained loyal to their family traditions. It was this understanding that made the scene so funny. It was so true to real life.

Adil Ray should get full marks for using his childhood and life experiences to such tremendous comic effect.

And there’s so much else that rings true here about the daily life of British Muslims — from Khan’s obsession with saving money to the point that he buys toilet roll in bulk (it’s this sort of trait that makes British Muslims such good businessmen) to Mrs Khan’s preoccupation with what her friends and neighbours will think.

This is British Muslim family life through and through. It’s also interesting — and, more to the point, accurate to much of real life — that Mrs Khan does not always wear the hijab while her daughters are under pressure to do so.

That’s because when the Khan parents came to Britain in the Sixties or Seventies, as mine did, they wanted to embrace the culture of their new home, and so they cast off cultural symbols, such as the hijab, that would obviously single them out as different.

But 40 years on, things have turned full circle — and one of the Khan daughters feels  confident enough to want to show her commitment to their Muslim religion.

When a new show is getting even these small details right, it’s clear its makers know exactly what they are talking about. That why the clever team behind Citizen Khan deserve the praise of the British Muslim community — not unsmiling criticism.

Defending the show, the BBC said it had made ‘a very positive start’ and that new comedy always provoked ‘differing reactions’. The characters were comedy creations not meant to represent the community as a whole.

For my part, I’m a fairly secular Muslim these days, but I know my feelings will be shared by many of my friends who embrace our religion more enthusiastically.

Even a former Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Britain, Yousuf Bhailok, said it was ‘the best thing the BBC has done recently’. He added: ‘There is great humour among Muslims. I am glad it has been made.’

The truth is that collectively we’re sick and tired of the fact that every time something news- worthy connected to the Muslim faith happens, some bearded senior man is wheeled out to comment upon it — in normally slightly ominous and always doom-laden tones.

Such an image suggests humour is not something that you associate with British Muslims. But in truth it should be.

Heck, the Irish can laugh at themselves, and so can the Scots, the Welsh and even — thanks to the likes of stand-up comic Michael McIntyre —  the English. The Jewish community, of course, are brilliant at laughing at themselves. What is it, though, about the British Muslims — particularly those of Pakistani origin? Are they simply too po-faced to join in?

Oh, NOES! UN officials claim Gaza will be unlivable by 2020 because of the evil Zionist blockade

As the Gaza Strip still strives under total blockade since 2007, the United Nations Country Team in Palestine issued a report earlier this week observing the various development indicators in Gaza and their projections for eight years. It came up with the conclusion that the besieged enclave will not be livable by the year 2020.

After you watch the video, be sure to check out this link below to see the miserable conditions the people of Gaza are living in, sometimes called the world’s largest prison camp, all because of the JOOOOOS!  oh-boo-hoo-those-poor-starving-oppressed-no-longer-occupied-arabs-of-gaza

Failed Muslim lawyer turned third-rate comedian says the “GOP has a Muslim problem”

While the Democratic National Convention will open with a two-hour Islamic supremacist prayer fest featuring radical imams, the Republicans wisely decided not put any Muslims on the podium.

(To be honest, I used to think this guy was moderately funny, with a self-deprecating brand of humor about Muslims. But as usual, when you dig any Muslim deep enough, you find a typical apologist, who thinks Islam has been hijacked by a few extremists and Americans who fear Muslims are just ignorant, racist, redneck Islamophobes)

Dean Obeidallah, a former attorney, is a political comedian and frequent commentator on various TV networks including CNN. He is the editor of the politics blog The Dean’s Report and co-director of the upcoming documentary, “The Muslims Are Coming!”

CNN By Dean Obeidallah

A Catholic priest, a rabbi, an evangelical minister, a Sikh, a Greek Orthodox archbishop and two Mormon leaders walk into the Republican National Convention. It sounds like the beginning of a joke. But the Republican Party’s decision to invite representatives from all of these faiths to speak at this week’s convention, but to exclude a Muslim-American imam, is anything but funny.

The Republican Party has a problem with Muslims. Of course, American Muslims can take some solace in the fact that we are not the only minority group that the Republican Party hardly welcomes.

To be clear, I don’t believe that most rank-and-file members of the Republican Party hate Muslims. The problem is that certain Republican leaders have stoked the flames of hate toward American Muslims, and other minorities, as a political tool to motivate people to support their cause.

For example, recently Rep. Michele Bachmann — along with four other Republican House members — asserted that the Muslim Brotherhood had infiltrated the U.S. government. Bachmann, who is in a tough re-election battle in her redrawn congressional district, even “named names” by claiming that Secretary Hillary Clinton’s top aide, Huma Abedin, and Rep. Keith Ellison were connected to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Although Republican Sen. John McCain publicly denounced Bachmann’s baseless allegations, just a few weeks later, Republican Rep. Joe Walsh escalated the fear-mongering. Walsh, who is in a tight race with Democratic opponent Tammy Duckworth, told constituents at a town hall meeting in the Chicago suburbs that there are radical Muslims living among them who are plotting to kill them: “One thing I’m sure of is that there are people in this country — there is a radical strain of Islam in this country — it’s not just over there — trying to kill Americans every week.” Walsh even claimed that this Muslim radical was in his district: “It’s in Elk Grove. It’s in Addison. It’s in Elgin. It’s here.”

And let’s not forget that during this year’s Republican presidential primaries, Newt Gingrich and Herman Cain told voters that American Muslims want to impose Islamic law in America. It’s a truly astounding task when you consider that this would require the 2.6 million Muslims in the U.S. to overpower the other 300 million Americans and implement an Islamic legal system. Obviously, this assertion is not based on facts, but to politicians desperate for votes, facts don’t matter.

This type of rhetoric has yielded two distinct consequences. First, it can be seen in the attitudes of Republicans who have been poisoned by the anti-Muslim voices in their party. A recent poll found that 62% of Obama voters view American Muslims favorably, but only 34% of Romney voters shared that positive outlook.

Even more alarming is that fear-mongering by politicians (and bloggers?) can create an environment that inspires violence against the people being demonized. It sends a message that these people are “others” and not truly Americans like the rest of us. (It isn’t a message, it’s the truth. Muslims don’t want to be Americans like the rest of us because Islam tells them they shoudn’t be)

For example, within a few weeks of Bachmann’s comments, a suspicious fire destroyed a mosque in Missouri. And days after Walsh’s warnings that Muslim terrorists were living in the Chicago suburbs, a homemade acid bomb was thrown at an Islamic school, air pellet gunshots were fired at a mosque, and Muslim headstones at a cemetery were defaced with anti-Muslim graffiti, all in the Chicago area. It’s impossible to know whether these hateful acts were related to the remarks, but the climate created by fear-mongering does not encourage tolerance. (And yet, the police are never able to identify any suspects in these incidents because many of them are self-imposed by Muslims themselves looking for sympathy)

Getting back to this week’s Republican Convention: The Republican Party should be applauded for including so many faiths, especially the Sikhs, who number about 200,000 Americans and whose community was targeted by a hate-filled gunman who killed six people in a place of worship. But excluding Muslims sends a message that American Muslims are not part of the fabric of this country. That is wrong. (No, that’s the idea)

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus still has time to correct this mistake. He could invite a Muslim-American imam to be a part of this week’s convention. That would send a clear message that the Republican Party is truly welcoming of all major religions practiced in the U.S. ( Even the ones that hate our guts? Sorry, all the imams and CAIR thugs are in bed with the Democrats)

It also would send a message that there is no place for hate in the GOP against any American minority group. It’s now up to Preibus to show whether the Republican Party stands for inclusiveness or division. (I guess we know the answer to that now. Muslims not wanted

Interestingly, Dean Obeidallah is not real popular among other Muslims either. Click dean-obeidallah-the-father-of-all-house-arabs

Thankfully, Grover Norquist, GOP Islamofascist-sympathizer, didn’t get to push his favorite radical Muslim, Suhail Khan, on the convention. as he does every year at CPAC.
