Whether they go overseas to work as maids or nurses, many are severely abused, some are murdered.
Almost 15 per cent of the Philippines’ adult population, about eight million people, live and work overseas. But the cost proves to be too high for some of the migrant workers that find themselves suffering the abuse at the hands of their employers in the Middle East. The wounds they suffer smell of the Muslim way of dealing with ‘misbehaving’ women – burns, acid attacks, etc.
The Philippine government should bar such contract workers from going to the muslim states for work, or it should provide the most potent warnings available to those who consider such travel. Petrodollars generally feed the importing of workers to the muslim states while islam provides the rationalization for the abuse of such workers.
They tried to do that a few years ago. Don’t know if it worked.
The Philippine government must make it ILLEGAL for their people to work in Muslim countries. It’s the only way they can protect them from extreme Muslim cruelty.

I believe they did a few years ago, at least for women to want to work there. Don’t know if it was enforced though.
