The National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM), formerly CAIR-Canada, a Muslim Brotherhood front group, has initiated a Notice of Libel against the Prime Minister’s Office for a “false, offensive and defamatory” statement made about NCCM by Jason MacDonald, the PMO’s Director of Communications, in a recent interview with Sun News.

I’m slightly surprised that Cair Can or as it is now, NCCM has gone at this head on rather than the usual public wheedling and whining but it indicates a new tactic and a new cockiness .
In effect they are now taking on the Canadian Government with this massive bluff and you can bet that big time liberal lawyers are being briefed as type.
NCCM will now be running around like steroid rage filled headless chickens, all pomp and aggrieved feelings with victim stamped all over it.
Two things power this and up to now its worked. One is the traditional islamic view of supremacy and how dare anyone challenge us.
The other is past official kuffar dhimmidom which only bolsters their view and both Mark Stein and Ezra Levant know all too well the chill hand of civil rights organisation insanity and ever on going trials.
There’s quite a bit to be read into this, taking on a government is a huge sea change in tactic especially in view of Harper’s obvious warmth towards Israel and by extension a distinct spine when it comes to Islam.
They obviously think they’ll win but if you read the stuff in the links, especially the Ottowa Citizen’s forensic dissection, they either have grown too puffed up by past power or they think that the constant repetition of the old buzzwords will, as ever, do the trick.
Watch the presentation and the palpable shaking anger in this upstarts voice. It’s almost a ‘how dare they’ as he reads the boilerplate list of grievance.
We’ve seen all of this before and the classic is the Ground Zero Mosque and Pam Geller’s massive triumph over a sly and beguiling lying Imam Rauf who by exploiting links right through Bloomberg up to Obama (who actually was for it) could have won.
That he didn’t was down to Pam’s huge effort in arousing New Yorker and American ire and it worked magnificently.
I’ve got a feeling that they’re in for a shock and CAIR Can will soon be CAIR Cant as the facts spill out.
Of course this will power even more rage backed by even more Arab money and all manner of legal chicanery will ensue.
This is almost a test case and if Canadians are savvy and drop the old kumbaya crap they’ll see exactly what the NCCM and by extension Islam in general is up to.

I hope our PM stands by his statement as he stands by Israel. What an ass! The original Sun article about this that he refers to and claims had hateful comments posted by readers included a video taped interview of Tarek Fatah explaining how NCCM is CAIR-Canada dressed up in Taquiyya clothing.
We are proud of our Prime Minister in Canada and especially proud of the speech he delivered at the Israeli Knesset recently and of his outspoken support for Israel. We would feel deeply betrayed if his office retracted its response to NCCM’s demand that our PM not take with him to Israel a controversial rabbi, its response that it does not listen to demands by organizations like NCCM with ties to terrorist organizations like Hamas as evidenced when it was named, under its former name of CAIR-Canada, as a co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation trial.
If this case escalates to a libel civil suit, it may proceed to the Supreme Court just in time for the 2015 federal election. Tell me that isn’t intentional. Regardless of how it might impact an election, and it could impact it in a really good way, the Harper government will stand by its statement and has done so already.

Not sure if you’ve heard this before but, …. There was a flotilla from Canada a couple of years back (?) that decided to try and run the blockade to give humanitarian aide to the Palestinians. They were captured by the IDF.
Harper had told this flotilla that Canada would not help them out to get back home. Nor could they fly the Canadian flag on their ship(s).
When CSIS informed Israel of this flotilla coming, The IDF invited our CSIS to be present during the capture.
The CSIS knows exactly what type of humanitarian aide was aboard that ship and they know that CAIR-CANADA, know known as NCCM, helped finance that shipment! The shipment did not contain food or clothing!

If she were not so openly opposed to Islamic supremacy she would most likely win a Pulitzer prize.
